Just what the hell is going on?!

A tear leaked from the corner of my eye and I swiped it away with a frustrated flick of my fingers.

This was torture on so many levels. An unfair torment with no end. Not only did Cedra’s touch drive me insane, I wasn’t allowed to relieve the intense craving brewing inside me.

My body was rejecting my own featherlight touches.

I fell back against the floorboards, staring up at the plain white ceiling of the service room.

Was this part of some Fanger foreplay? If so, it wasn’t something I could understand. While I knew instinctively that the swelling and redness and heightened sensitivity was my body’s way of reacting to Cedra, I assumed there had to be a solution.

Right?

I worried my bottom lip, wondering how long I would last in this state. Aroused and aching was a pitiful combination.

My knees fell apart again, letting the cool air in the room brush against my swollen folds. I tilted my head to the side, getting a good look at my pussy in the mirror.

Yes, it was pulsing and red and so very puffy...but it was also kind of beautiful. Almost like petals parted in invitation—a slick, leaking request to delve in for more.

Would Cedra think it’s inviting?

As I mulled the question, my fingers moved instinctively, and I caught myself in time before I made contact, narrowing avoiding hurting myself again.

I closed my eyes, focusing on getting my heartbeat under control when my sex was begging for attention. As the pulsing in my body slowly calmed down, I heard some light shuffling in the kitchen. I cursed softly, wondering how in the world I was going to face Cedra in such close proximity when I ached for her.

Now that I knew she had enhanced hearing and scenting abilities, I knew she’d be able to track my every pained flinch and aroused shuffle as long as she was in the house.

So much for privacy.

Groaning, I stood and pulled the shirt down over my hips, wiping the stray tears that had fallen on my cheek.

Okay, I told myself in the mirror. Just focus on making dinner. Just get through this evening and find a solution later. You can do this.

I took a few big gulps of air, smoothed the creases in the shirt and reached for the door.
