“You seem like a very good employer,” Chancy said, a flirtatious sparkle in her eye. “Do you want to play Daddy and the Nanny with me?”

Sun gods, no.

“I’ve actually got an early day tomorrow,” he said, standing up quickly. “You’ve been very kind, though.”

She watched with wide eyes as he added a generous tip to her already hefty fee.

“Ask for me again,” she suggested playfully. “I’d love to come and talk with you about anything you want. Or not talk.”

She gazed at him hungrily, in spite of having already been paid handsomely. Ra’as was flattered, but still not particularly interested.

“I’ll keep you in mind,” he said, walking her to the door of his suite and praying he would get her out of the house without Emilia and the kids spotting them.

He had sworn he heard a gasp after he opened the door earlier, but by the time he turned back, the foyer had been empty.
