KHALL

Khall paced the living space once the girls were in bed.

He was starting to feel like pacing the floors was his natural state. What was the little Terran doing to him? He was going mad with shame and desire.

She hadn’t left her room since the elevator incident, and he was beside himself.

He knew he was a monster. She was a young girl, far from home, depending on him for her livelihood. The power dynamic couldn’t be more imbalanced, and he had imposed himself on her. Who knows how far he would have let it go if she hadn’t tried to push him off her.

Those elevator doors could have opened, and his own daughters could have seen him on his knees feeding on April’s small breasts, his hands wrapped around her hips to hold her still while she quivered and moaned under his hungry mouth.

It was good that he felt ashamed. He should feel ashamed.

And still… his tongue searched his mouth for her taste and his heart was still pounding to chase her down and claim her.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he whispered to himself.

This was beyond an attraction. It was an obsession, and it was going to destroy him.

There was a sound from the hallway - her door opening and closing again.

He stepped forward and saw her silhouette coming closer.

Please, give me self-control, he begged the sun gods.

As soon she stepped into the great room, he knew it was no use.

She was dressed in a pale, shimmering sheath that only served to accentuate the slender grace of her tiny form. Her golden hair poured over her thin shoulders.

“April,” he groaned.

“I’m leaving,” she said crisply, walking right past him to the elevator. “Have a good night.”

“Where do you think you’re going?” he roared, frantic at the idea of her going out in that outfit.

“Out with a friend,” she said without turning around.

“When will you be back?”

“I don’t know.”

The elevator doors slid shut behind her, leaving him alone and livid. It was foolish of him to think she’d dressed for his benefit, but still, she couldn’t go out looking like that, not on Ulfgard.

Before he could decide what to do, his comms chimed.

He glanced down, hoping it was April and that she’d had a change of heart.

But it was the front desk.

“Yeah,” he said, distracted.

“We have a package at the front desk for you,” Deerborne said in his usual friendly manner.

“Fine,” Khall said, swiping off the comm and heading down in the elevator.

Maybe he would catch April in the lobby, waiting for her friend.

Her friend.
