FELIX

It took me way longer than it should have to realize Gemma had caught me with my pants down. Or rather my towel. Avery assured me no one would be here this week. So why the fuck was her sister standing in front of me pretending she wasn’t staring at my dick like she wanted to choke on it again?

What the fuck?

“AVERY!” we growled out in unison.

Gemma turned away from me. I shrugged it off, shoved on a pair of boxers and jeans, and searched for a t-shirt.

“You can turn around,” I said with a laugh. “Who knew Gemma Jensen was so modest?”

“I’m not.”

I pulled my t-shirt over my head. “What? You can’t handle seeing me naked? Does it make you want to get on your knees and suck my cock again?”

Her eyes flashed with anger, and she threw a pillow at my head. I ducked just in time for her to miss. “You’re such an asshole!”

I gave her a sly grin. “Aw, you know you don’t mean that, sweet thing.”

She curled her hands into fists. “Why are you at my dad’s cabin?”

“I could ask you the same thing.”

“It’s my dad’s cabin,” she said with a hard look that could have melted a lesser man.

I rubbed a hand through my beard. “Right, but your sister said I could stay up here this week. Why are you here?”

“Forced vacation,” she muttered under her breath.

I didn’t know what that meant, and she didn’t elaborate. The pink-haired woman in front of me looked like a ball of rage. Her chest heaved and she clenched her jaw. So much for getting her to forget about me.

“I’m going home,” she huffed out, and she started to storm out of the room, but I spun her around and grabbed her arm.

“Wait, a second. It’s already dark, and it’s a long way home. How about we call a truce?”

“What?” she spat out.

“How about…we share the cabin for the week? I do my thing, and you do yours. I promise I won’t get in your way. At least stay the night. It’s late.”

“No. Fuck you!” she screeched. “Ugh, I can’t believe you’re here.”

“Gem.”

She pointed a finger at me. “No. I was supposed to take this week to be alone with my thoughts. You weren’t supposed to be here.”

“Okay, but how about we act like adults? I’m not asking you to share a bed with me.”

“FINE!” she yelled and stormed off down the hall. I cringed at the sound of a door slamming behind her. So much for some peace and quiet this week.

One thing was for sure: Avery definitely set us up.

I pulled out my phone and shot off a text to the other Jensen sister.

ME: Umm, care to explain yourself?

Avery mentioned cell service could be spotty, but so far, my texts had been coming in okay. My phone buzzed with a reply.
