“You’ll be sorry,” the man in black yelled after them.

He struggled, but the twist lock gave Gabe all the leverage.

“You’re under arrest for interfering in a lawful investigation and for terroristic threats.” To Yen, “Can I borrow some cuffs?”

The big man relaxed, and Gabe tensed, wondering if it was a ruse. Then the man started laughing.

“What’s funny?” Gabe asked.

“You just ended your career, buddy. I’ll be out before the ink dries on your report.”

Gabe said nothing as he applied the cuffs. Unfortunately, the way things were going lately, the guy was probably right.
