“How do I look,” I ask. I walk into the living room where Sunny’s waiting on me.

“Fuckable.” She smirks. “I don’t think I’m going to add the fluff because it ruins the image for me.”

“You don’t think the kids will notice?”

“Put your sweatshirt back on, and I think that will work.”

“I’m going to be fucking hot.”

“You will, but you’ll suck it up and get over it.”

“Anything for you, Sunny. Anything,” I say as I unbutton the Santa jacket and take it off, then put my sweatshirt on, and put the jacket back on. “Better?”

“Much. If the kids ask, we’ll say Santa decided to get healthy this year.”

“Fuck yeah, he did. Can you wear that and be on the bike?”

“Yes. I’ll bunch it up and make it work.”

“Good, because I thought the kids would get a kick out of us arriving on a bike.”

“They absolutely will.” She smiles as we leave her place and walk out to my bike.

I get on and help her get on, adjusting the skirt of the dress, so it doesn’t get caught in the tires. Once everything is tucked into place, I fire up the machine, and Santa and Mrs. Claus are on their way to the hospital to spread joy and happiness . . . the same happiness I feel when I’m with Sunny.

The party was a hit, and I was asked to be Santa again next year. We’ll see how the cards play out, but I don’t mind it being an annual tradition. The kids that could come outside waved Sunny and me off, riding away into the sunset on the bike. I drive back to her place to change out of this suit and get back into my jeans and cut.

“Thank you for being Santa, Ice. It meant a lot more to those kids than I think you realize.”

“It meant a lot that you asked me, Sunny. Thank you for having the faith in me that I wouldn’t let you down.”

“You’re sober . . . and when you’re sober, you’re a man of your word.” She smiles, then discards the Mrs. Claus outfit and puts on jeans and a sweatshirt. I close my eyes, committing her nude form to memory.

“That I am. I’m hungry. Want to get dinner?” I ask as I put my boots on.

“Yes, that sounds good.”

“I’m picking.”

She chuckles and walks into the bathroom. I look in, and she is touching up her make-up, so I find another mirror and put my piercings back in. Now I feel like I’m fully dressed.

“I’ll wait for you outside,” I tell her before I head outside and look around at what there is to eat.

There’s a diner on the corner and a bakery next to it. I’ll take her to dinner and get her a sugar fix after.

“I’m ready,” she says as she shuts the door.

“The diner on the corner, okay?”

“Yes, it’s good.”

I grab her, and we walk down the street to the diner. We walk in and are quickly seated. Old fashion diner food is the best. A greasy cheeseburger and fries with a root beer sound pretty good.

“What are you getting?”

“I think I’ll get a hamburger, and I’ll steal some of your fries with water.”
