“You’ll find out,” she replies with a smirk.

She’s playing with me, and I like it. “What? You’re not going to tell me?”

Shaking her head, she replies, “Nope. I’ll drive, too, because it’s not easy to find.”

Chuckling, I’m completely amused by her playfulness. “I can’t wait to see this place! What time are we leaving?”

Olivia glances at her watch. “It’s kind of early for dinner. But I have an idea for what we can do in the meantime if you’re interested.”

My mind instantly goes to the gutter, and I cock an eyebrow. What does she have in mind? “What are you thinking?”

Olivia sets her feet down on the deck and leans toward me, her elbows resting on her knees. “Do you like to play air hockey?”

Mirroring her, I lean forward and rest my elbows on my knees, then answer, “You bet I do. Does this place have Skee-Ball as well?”

Olivia smirks. “It sure does. But you don’t know who you’re going up against.”

This woman. The more we talk, the more I like her. I love this playful banter. “Oh, I don’t know about that. I’m the Skee-Ball champion.”

She laughs. “Is that right? I guess we’ll see about that.”

My smile widens. “I guess we will.”

Olivia stands. “Give me ten minutes to get ready. I’ll meet you by the front entrance.”

“Sounds good,” I reply.

Ten minutes later, I’m standing in the front entryway near the front desk, waiting for Olivia. I wasn’t expecting her to suggest we go to an arcade, but I love the idea. I haven’t been to one in at least a couple of years, and I have a feeling Olivia is going to be a lot of fun to play against. I’m also curious where she plans to take me for dinner. She was acting very peculiar about it.

“Are you ready?” Olivia’s voice startles me. I didn’t hear her approach from behind.

I turn around and smile. She didn’t change her clothes or really do anything to make herself look different from how she looked ten minutes ago, but she’s gorgeous in the floral sundress she’s wearing. “Ready as ever,” I reply as she walks toward me.

She slips her arm through mine, and we walk outside.

“Which car is yours?” I ask. There are five other cars in the parking lot besides mine.

“The Honda,” she replies as we walk in the direction of a maroon Honda Accord. “It’s not as fancy as your Range Rover, but it’s a great car, and I love it.”

“I used to drive a Honda,” I say. “I loved that car.”

“Really?” she asks as she opens the driver’s side door.

Opening the passenger door, I reply, “Yeah. A sporty Civic. I bought it after I landed my first real job out of college. I had it up until six months ago when I got the Rover. I gave it to my sister, so she drives it now.”

She starts the car, and the stereo blares a familiar song. She quickly turns the volume down. “Sorry,” she says.

“You know Biffy Clyro?” I’m surprised she’s heard of the little-known progressive rock band from the UK. I stumbled upon their music on iTunes about a year ago and have been a fan ever since.

Olivia turns to look at me. “You’veheard of Biffy Clyro?” she asks, seemingly surprised as I am.

I shrug. “I love their music. And I’ve never met anyone who’s heard of them before. Usually, I’m the one to introduce them to others.”

“Same,” Olivia says in astonishment. “I don’t know why they haven’t hit it big in the US. They’re amazing!”

“I agree.”

Olivia turns the stereo up so we can enjoy the music. One of my favorite songs,Mountains, blasts through the speakers as Olivia pulls out of the parking space. I guess you can addtaste in musicto the list of things she and I have in common.
