“My God, my God! The things that man did to my body were savage!”

“Girl, tell me everything!”

“Baby, when I tell you I am wore the fuck out, please believe me. I’m gonna need the rest of this weekend and another two days to recover. He had to carry me to the front door when he dropped me off.”

“Bitch, quit playing. I know you are fuckin’ lying. Why do you get all the good dick?”

I glared at Sheree at that one. She was always complaining that I got the good dick, but she knew I didn’t fuck around like that. I was usually a relationship chick, and my last one ended six months ago. Hell, I deserved to get my back, hips, and thighs blown out for once. My ex could never!

“What the hell are you talking about, Sheree? I just ended a six-month drought. You’re the one getting it in every weekend.”

“Girl, please. Those fools ain’t doin’ half of what you did last night. They are usually a one and done. Let you tell it, the Italian had you six ways to Sunday, literally.”

A huge grin graced my face as I thought about all the ways Nicolo put it on me. The man was relentless.

“I believe he had another two rounds in him. He was trying to show me when you called and interrupted us.”

“Well, damn! I needed to make sure you weren’t dead. You really think he could have gone some more?”

“Hell yeah. That man has some kind of stamina. I don’t think he’s Italian. He is from another planet with that shit. My pussy never hurt so good.”

“When are you going to see him again?”

“I’m not. It was a one-time deal. We both understood that going in.”

“What? After a night like that, you’re not going back for seconds?”

“Girl, I would love to, but you know, Daddy told me that arranged marriage he agreed to when I was eight is coming due. By next week, my ass will be betrothed to another. This was my last hurrah!”

“Boy, did you go out with a bang!”

We cackled at her stupid joke, but inside I died a little. I finally found a man whose sexual prowess matched mine perfectly, and I had to give him up. I had that one night to hold close to my heart and fall back on when I got lonely. I hoped like hell, my future husband would be half as good in bed as Nicolo DeLuca. I could live with half.

“I’m going back to bed. I’ll see you in the morning.”

“You’re not going to eat dinner with me?”

“I’m too tired to eat. That bath was all I could handle.”

“I know he wore that thing out now. You never pass up a good meal.”

I was sleeping so well that I know I was snoring, when I was ripped from dreamland by the loud voice of James Brown yelling about somebody’s papa having a brand-new bag. It was the ringtone I assigned to my dad since that was his favorite song. I was barely able to open my eyes, let alone lift my head. I blindly searched for the phone with my hand. I located it and slid my finger across the screen to answer.

“Hey, Daddy,” I managed to squeak out.

I coughed and snagged my glass of water and took a sip. I felt dehydrated so I took another large sip.

“What’s wrong with you, baby girl? You sick?”

“No, Daddy. I was asleep.”

“Simone, it is seven o’clock in the evening. Why are you sleeping your life away? You are too young to be locked up in the house.”

“Maybe because I have been promised to a man that I don’t know from Adam. I am trying to stay out of trouble in case I meet someone I really like and have to give him up when you decide it’s time.”

I had never voiced my opinion on the matter to my father, but after the night I had with Nicolo, I was feeling salty. My father gasped on the other end of the phone. No doubt he was surprised by my outburst.
