I let a loud scream rip from my body as he yells my name at the same time. Greyson collapses on top of me, careful not to crush me. He kisses along my jaw until he reaches my mouth. He plants one tender kiss to my lips before he stands up to pull out of me. The loss of him inside of me makes me groan. I watch him remove the condom as he walks to the bathroom to clean up. Shifting on the bed so I can get comfortable, I slowly drift off to sleep from the exhaustion of sex with Greyson.

* * *

I wakeup to a warm body pressed against mine and a strong arm wrapped around my waist. Greyson must have fallen asleep after I did. His face is snuggled into the back of my neck, making me feel so calm as his heat spreads across my body. The clock shows that I’ve been asleep for two hours. I grin like a fool, thinking about how amazing it felt to be with him.

Faint voices float into the room from the hallway. Those are my guys out there, I would recognize their voices anywhere. I want to see what’s going on, but I also don’t want to leave Greyson’s warm embrace. Deciding on the former, I slide out from under his arm and grab my shirt and shorts, throwing them on as I make my way to the door. I look back at Greyson’s sleeping figure. He looks so peaceful, almost angelic.

I slowly open the door and close it softly behind me, trying not to wake him. Hearing the guys’ voices coming from Zep’s room, I head down the hall. The guys go quiet when I step into the room, as if they have a secret. I furrow my brows wondering what that is all about. “What’s going on?” I ask calmly.

Zep tries to shrug my question off. “Gorgeous, we can talk about it in the morning. Go back to bed,” he says softly. We don’t keep things from each other, so why are they trying to hide something right now?

“Just tell me what’s going on. You guys are acting weird. Did you find out who sent me the pictures or who busted my window?” The guys shift their gazes between each other.

I grow impatient, not knowing what they are keeping from me. “Spit it out. Whatever it is, I can handle it.”

“Meu amor, someone left another message for you,” Thiago says cautiously. The air in the room shifts with his statement.

“What kind of message? Where did they leave it?” My voice is sharp. I can feel my walls shooting straight up.

“Come with us, we’ll show you.” Rian groans, knowing I’m not going to like what I see. The guys lead me down to the dining room where I see a black velvet box sitting on the table. I look between each of them, but none of them give anything away. “This is it? Where did you find it?” I ask curiously.

“It was left on the doorstep,” Zep says curtly, not giving anything else away.

“Did you guys look in it already?” Panic fills my voice as I wonder what it could be. Looking at the guys, they all nod their heads, waiting for me to find out what’s inside.

I take in a deep breath, afraid of what I’m about to see. Lifting the lid, I suck in a gasp as the contents come into view. There is a note on top that says, “You should have listened to me.” I pick up the note so I can see what is underneath. My heart stops and my legs buckle beneath me. Rian wraps his arms around me, making sure I don’t fall but there’s no stopping the tears that stream down my face.

This is my fault. This is because I didn’t stay away from Greyson. Inside the box are stacks of pictures, but this time they aren’t of me—they’re of Tara. Pictures of her at work, at home, of her sleeping.

I slip out of Rian’s arms as I scream at the top of my lungs, “Motherfucker! Goddamnit!” I punch the table and throw the box across the room, causing the pictures to flutter everywhere. Thiago comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around me to calm me down. “We will check on her,meu amor. Let’s call her first to make sure she’s alright.” My chest is rising and falling rapidly and my vision starts becoming blurry. All I can see is red. I slowly get control of my emotions, nodding at the last words I heard Thiago say.

Grabbing Thiago’s phone, I hit dial on Tara’s number. With each ring, I feel my heart rate speed up. The longer it rings, the more terror floods through my body. She has to be okay. I can’t lose her.The phone clicks as her voicemail plays. My heart slowly begins to shatter.

Nineteen

“What the fuck is going on in here?” Greyson asks, as he walks into the dining room. My screaming tantrum must have woke him. He stops in his tracks as his gaze falls to the box and the pictures scattered all over the floor.

“It happened again,” Zep chimes in. Good thing he does, because I can’t speak with my mind racing the way it is.

Greyson picks up the picture closest to him, his eyebrows draw up as he stares at it for a minute. “Tara? Why would they go after Tara?”

His question lights a fire under my ass, allowing me to find my voice. “To punish me for not staying away fromyou, Greyson.” I force my way out of Thiago’s grip and storm towards Greyson. “They’re going after her because of us. Because of you!” I scream at him, but deep down I know that’s not true. His face scrunches from the aggression that’s directed at him. I know this is my fault, not Greyson’s. I was the one that was threatened. If she’s hurt then that’s on me, because I wouldn’t stay away like they told me to.

“We don’t know for sure if they did anything to her,” Rian says from behind me, but my focus is still on the blue eyes in front of me. The longer I stare, the more I feel the anger turning to desperation.

“Greyson…” My eyes plead with him to forgive me for my outrage. I take a step forward and crash into his chest. His protective arms encase my trembling body as the fight leaves me and a sob violently escapes.

Greyson’s hand cradles the back of my head. “Blaze, let’s go check on Tara. Then we’ll come up with a plan to catch this guy.” His reaction tells me that he doesn’t blame me for my outburst. My cheek rubs against his chest as I nod my head in agreement.

I’ve never felt more helpless in my life. It’s one thing when it’s my life being threatened, but I couldn’t live with myself if something happened to Tara or one of the guys.

Large hands pull me from Greyson’s body and spin me into another strong body. Zep is in Greyson’s face before I can stop him. Zep’s chest is puffed and his fists are clenched, ready to strike at any second. “She’s right. The only reason this is happening is because of you. So tell us, who could be doing this?”

I’m honestly surprised that it isn’t Rian in his face, but Zep can be unpredictable when it comes to me. In any other situation, he would be cool, calm, and collected.

I try to escape from Thiago’s grip again, but I get nowhere this time.

“I don’t know,” Greyson roars. “I don’t fucking know! Don’t you think I would stop this if I knew?”
