“What do you want with Novak?” he asks.

You’re strong, Zamira. A little whip isn’t going to break you.

“Nothing,” I pant.

“Bullshit,” Theon growls as Blais hits me again with more force than the last.

This is the first time I look at the others since Blais took over. Theon’s fists are clenched by his sides, as if he’s trying to not lose control. Ace stands there with his arms crossed, looking calm as ever as he watches the chaos unfold before him.

“I’m not after you or the club. Just let me go,” I try to negotiate with the psychos in front of me.

“No,” Ace says in the calmest tone I’ve ever heard. He’s not planning on letting me go until he knows the truth. That’s something we have in common—I’d do the exact same thing if I were in his position.

Blais slaps the whip across my thighs rapidly three times in a row, the intense stinging bringing tears to my eyes, but I won’t let them fall.

Ace speaks, stopping Blais from hitting me again, “That’s enough for now, Blais. Let’s give her time to think about her actions. If she doesn’t talk after that, then you can use your knives on her pretty pale skin.”

Blais’ face lights up like a kid’s on Christmas morning, and I know that means it will be hell for me. They can try all they want, but I won’t cave. I’ve been trained for this.

Blais throws the whip on the chair off to the left and moves until his face is inches from mine. “I can’t wait to play with you, darling,” he purrs, his brown eyes darker than I’ve ever seen them.

He licks his lips then walks off toward one of the doors.

It’s Theon’s turn to get in my face. His chest heaves up and down rapidly and the snarl on his face makes his beautiful scar stand out even more. Without saying a word, he just stares before he growls, turning to walk out the same door Blais did.

That must be the way out. I just need to get out of these fucking cuffs so I can escape.

The only one left is Ace.

His arms are still crossed over his muscular chest as he stares at me. His heated eyes wander down my body and back up, slowly taking in every inch like he’s trying to take a mental picture of what he’s seeing. I’m suddenly reminded that I’m practically naked in front of him.

“The other two have some kind of obsession with you that I don’t understand, but I won’t let you hurt them. I don’t know why you’re undercover in the club or why you’re so interested in Novak, but I’ll find out, temptress. They might be vulnerable to your siren ways, but I’ll make sure you don’t take them under your spell. It would behoove you to change your mind about keeping quiet,” he threatens.

His words crash into my chest, and I recall what it was like to feel an overwhelming sense of need to protect those you love. He’s the alpha of the group. If he thinks they’re being threatened, he’ll attack in any way he can.

I can see Blais’ obsession with me, but if he thinks Theon feels anything for me besides rage and hate, then he’s wrong. He barely says anything to me, and when he does, it’s filled with disgust.

Instead of saying anything, I keep my mouth shut, and watch as Ace turns and walks out the door, leaving me all alone. As soon as the door closes, I scream, jerking and pulling at the cuffs. I have no clue where I am, but I hope someone can hear me.

The more I pull, the more I can feel the cuffs bruising my wrists and ankles. My entire body feels exhausted in this position, but I have to fight. This is not how I will die.

“Help!” I yell at the top of my lungs.

I’m strapped to a table in this creepy as fuck room, and no one even knows where I am. If they keep me here or kill me, it’ll be months before anyone even notices I’m missing.

“Fuck!” I scream.

I don’t know what the hell to do.

I’m stuck here with three men that are thirsty for my blood.

Please, Matt, I hope you can just feel that something’s wrong—that I need help. Right now, I wish we had some sort of psychic telepathy so I could communicate that I’m in trouble.

Someone fucking help me.

Please.

The alarm on the nightstand flashes that it’s only five-twenty in the morning.
