“Come on Ace,please. Please let me go. I’ll even leave early. Just let me go,” she begs, giving me the biggest puppy dog eyes.

“No, you can’t come with us. You’re too young.”

“I’m twenty! You let people in the club at eighteen, and I’m two years older than that. I’ll be responsible, it’s not like I can even drink.” She pops her hip, placing her hands on them, giving me a scowl now.

“Ugh. Guys, any help here? Now would be a good time to step in.” I pull my hand down my face and rub my temples, looking at both Blais and Theon.

“Nah, man. This is all you. You really going to break your sweet baby sister's heart?” Blais grins deviously. God, I hate when he does that. He’s such a shit stirrer.

“I thought you were on my side, man,” I groan.

“I am, but what’s the worst that could happen? We’ll all be there, keeping eyes on her the entire time.” He shrugs. That crazy fucker’s always had a soft spot for Allie.

“Theon?”

“Blais has a point. Not like we’ll let anyone come within five feet of her,” Theon says, his eyes trained on Allie.

“What the hell? I won’t be able to have any fun if you guys are constantly surrounding me. You’ll scare everyone off.” She pouts, crossing her arms over her chest.

“So you don’t want to go then?” I give her a grin, realizing my plan might actually be working.

“Oh no, you don’t. I’m going, no matter what.” She grabs her jacket off the back of the chair and slides it on. “Well, are we going?” The sass rolls off her tongue and I can’t help but smile. My sister is just as stubborn as us, if not more, and she always gets what she wants.

“Fine, but there will be ground rules first.” I wrap my arm around her shoulder and bring her in for a side hug, appreciating the normalcy of our lives now.

Pulling myself together,I try to shake off my thoughts about my sister. If I would’ve known that two months later, my life would change forever, I never would’ve let her step foot outside the house. I would’ve locked her up and never let her go.

I fucked up. I let someone I loved go unprotected into the world and she paid the price for it two years ago. She was my world and I wasn’t there when she needed me most. I won’t make that mistake again by putting Theon and Blais in danger.

Swinging the door open, I descend the stairs quickly, not stopping until I make it outside her cell. I peek through the metal bars to see what she’s doing, trying to catch her in a relaxed, unassuming state. Her eyes roam over every crack, crevice, and inch of the small room as she sits on the tiny bed with her back leaning against the wall. Theon must’ve given her some clothes after her shower. She’s wearing one of his black shirts and a pair of Blais’ gray sweatpants. Her small frame drowns in the clothes, but it doesn’t diminish her beauty.

Her face is surprisingly serene. If I didn’t know any better, it would look like she’s relaxing on vacation and not a hostage we’re trying to destroy. I bet she’s thinking of all the ways to kill us. I’m sure that would bring her the most peace.

Just as I take another step, her head snaps in my direction. A scowl quickly covers her features at the sight of me, sending an electric shock through my body.

Good.

Fucking hate me.

Scream. Cry. Whine.

I don’t give a fuck, just as long as you give us what we need. The sight of her rage is so damn thrilling. How quickly her mood can change when I walk into view fills me with a sick sense of satisfaction. A smirk covers my face as I unlock the door and step into the cell, locking it behind me.

“Ahh, the third asshole finally appears—or should I say Acehole?” She sits up a little straighter but continues to lean against the wall.

Acehole. Can’t say I’ve ever heard that one before.

“Now, now. Is that any way to treat your gracious host?” I cock my head to the side, giving her a devilishly charming smile.

“Oh, I’m so sorry, sir. Where are my manners? Why, thank you for kidnapping me, restraining me to a table all night, while your buddy whipped and cut me. How rude of me.” She puts her hand on her chest and flutters her lashes, putting on a show.

What a bitch.

A growl threatens to escape me but I keep it down in my throat. She’s playing a dangerous game here. Once I let the monster out, he’s hard to cage again. A sight she doesn’t want to see from me.

“So whiny. Shouldn’t you be thankful that’s all that’s happened to you so far? A little cut and a few love taps with the whip? That’s nothing compared to what we can do. What we will do to you, if you don’t cooperate.”

She scoffs. “Like I told Blais. Do your fucking worst.”
