Their eyes burn a hole into me as Theon nudges me forward. Ace looks so happy with himself. He enjoys what he did to me. He loves knowing he broke me.

I pull my gaze from his devious green eyes and look through the living room to my left. My eyes wander over the black sectional and huge-ass TV, landing on a white door with a small square window toward the top. I can only assume that’s the front door.

There’s my chance. My only way to freedom lies beyond that door.

I need to get out of here. To be free from these psychos.

Theon’s hand drops from my arm, and without thinking, I instantly make a run for it. I have absolutely nothing to help me if I get out of here. Fuck, I don’t even have shoes, but I have to try. I only get about three steps before strong arms wrap around my waist, pulling me into solid muscle.

“You think you can run from us, temptress?” Ace taunts.

Damn, he’s quick. How the hell did he get up so fast?

I scoff. “It was definitely worth a shot to get away from your crazy ass.”

Ace chuckles, grabbing my shoulder, pressing his fingers into my wound and leading me over to the table. I try not to flinch from his touch, but his grip gets only tighter.

“Take a seat.” Ace pushes me into the chair to Blais’ right before sitting across from me. The way his brows scrunch tells me he doesn’t really like that I’m up here, but he doesn’t have a choice.

“Yes sir,” I spit out, my voice dripping in sarcasm. Ace smirks as Theon plops his large body down into the chair at the head of the table. All three of them are staring at me like I’m a damn pariah.I’ve never felt so suffocated—not even when Ace had me pinned against the wall by the throat.

“Enough of your attitude, this is what’s going to happen. You’re going to stay up here with us while we keep our otherprojectdownstairs. You’re going to be a good little captive and answer all our questions,” Ace demands.

The way he’s talking down to me pisses me off, but I just squeeze my fists together under the table. I’d love nothing more than to punch that smug condescending look off his face, but I’ve got to play this smart.Well, smarter than I was while trying to run.I just have to ride this out for now and take it. It’s only a matter of time before I get my revenge.

“You won’t try to run again, but if you do, you won’t make it very far. There’s no civilization for miles so we’d pick you up soon after you walk out the door. You won’t like what we’ll do to you if you try it, temptress,” Ace threatens.

I don’t know if he’s even telling the truth about where we are. The other night when I was outside, I couldn’t focus on anything but the pool. I didn’t even think about looking around to see what was around me.So much for my superior FBI training in the time of panic.

“Where will I stay?” Curiosity has really gotten the best of me.

“Theon will show you once you answer a few questions,” Ace grunts. Of course he has to control the situation, not answering my question.

I nod, letting him know I’ll comply. As much as I want to talk back to him, I’m in a good position right now. I could actually find dirt on them while I’m up here. I have no doubt they’ll make me sleep in the torture chamber chained up if I don’t do what they want right now.

“How long have you lived in Cincinnati?” Blais asks.

I turn, looking into his stunning brown eyes. “I moved here after Quantico. So almost three years,” I answer truthfully. They already know I’m with the FBI so there’s no reason to lie about that.

“You told us you’re from Jersey, is that true? Or was that part of your Courtney Thompson facade?”

“It’s true. I was born and raised there.” Blais nods, before spitting out another question.

“How long do we have before they find out you’re gone and send out a search party for you, darling?”

“I’m guessing they already know and have the whole police force searching every inch of Cincinnati,” I lie, smiling at Blais. It will be a couple of months before they notice, but I’m sure as hell not letting them know that.

He laughs, giving me a playful wink, while Ace growls.

“That’s too bad, darling. I’m not ready to give you up. I’ll have no other choice but to kill anyone who tries to take you away from me,” Blais purrs. I’m looking in his eyes, but I can see his dick growing in his sweats. I have no doubt he’s being honest about that statement. He gets off on the pain he causes.

I suck my bottom lip between my teeth thinking about how his cock felt slamming into my aching core. What I wouldn’t give for him to bend me over this glass table and rail me into oblivion.

Theon pulls me from my fantasy. “Do you have access to the FBI database while you’re undercover?”

“No,” I lie, knowing my laptop is safely hidden away in my apartment.

“What’s the real reason you’re looking into Novak?” Ace cuts in. He’s being so fucking impatient, which I could definitely use to torture him.
