Page 126 of Love Triggered

“Lainey!” he screams out as he releases his orgasm. As soon as his cum hits the back of my throat, my own orgasm rips through me. As I recover, Greyson pulls out of my mouth, and lifts me off the floor to give me a deep kiss.

“I knew I shouldn’t have said no to you this morning. You little sex goddess.” He kisses me harder, pulling me against his chest. “Now seriously, go get dressed, we’re running late.” He plants one more kiss to my nose and heads over to the dresser.

It takes me thirty minutes to get dressed and do my hair and make up. I decide to opt for a nice yellow off-the-shoulder shirt and dark blue jeans, based on what Greyson picked for himself. He’s wearing light wash jeans that hug his legs and ass just right, with a burgundy button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He looks so damn sexy.

“Ready to go?”

I nod my head and reach my hand out to take his. We head downstairs and it’s quiet. I don’t see anyone else down here and based on the lack of movement, I’m guessing they’re already gone for the day.

“Still not going to tell me?” I’m trying my hardest to figure out what this man has planned, but he’s like a solid wall right now, giving nothing away. I can’t stand not knowing. It’s literally the worst.

“Not a chance.” He chuckles, opening the car door for me. Closing it behind me like a gentleman, he jumps into the driver’s seat and pulls out, heading toward this unknown location.

After driving for around an hour, we arrive at a place that I’ve never seen before. We pull alongside an open field, with tall grass all around. The sun has barely risen since we got up so early, and the orange and yellow sky before us is absolutely stunning.

“Where are we?” I ask him, honestly a bit unsure about exactly what we’re doing here.

“Do you trust me, angel?” He looks a bit worried and that makes me even more nervous.

“Of course I do, you know that.”

With that, he gets out of the car and comes around to my door, opening it and holding his hand out for me to take.

As we walk deeper into the field, the faint sound of music plays in the background. “What is that?” I look up at him, and he gives me the sweetest smile. He’s cheesing so hard—whatever this is, it’s special to him.

Instead of answering me, he leads me further into the field to reveal a plaid blanket with a cute wicker basket placed on top of it. Beside that, there’s a little speaker plugged into a phone, playing music.

“Oh my gosh. How did you do this? How did you get all of this out here without me knowing?” That’s definitely Greyson’s phone plugged into the speaker, and I’ve been with him all morning.

He pulls me closer to the blanket and sits me down across from him. “I might’ve had a little help from Lya. I told her I wanted to do something special for you after everything you’ve been through.” He’s looking at me, still unsure. “Do you like it?”

“Of course, I love it! I can’t believe you did this.” I practically jump on him and straddle his lap, planting kisses all over his face, making sure no inch of it goes unloved.

“Thank goodness, I’ve been freaking out all morning thinking you’d hate it.” He gives me a silly grin and relaxes his shoulders. I run my hands through his hair as he wraps his arms around me.

“I love it, Grey. You didn’t have to do this. It means a lot to me though.” This time I kiss him slowly, passionately, reminding him just how special he is to me. It’s weird to see my dark devil in this beautiful setting, his demeanor softened and full of love.

“So let’s hear it, how did you get Lya to help you?” I grab a grape from the basket and pop it into my mouth.

“Can’t you wait until I get the food out?” he teases, avoiding my question.

“Nope. Now answer my question.”

A sexy chuckle escapes him. “Oh you know, a little guilt trip about jumping in front of a bullet for her.” He shrugs, like it’s no big deal.

My eyes widen in shock and I let out a gasp. “You didn’t, did you?”

“No, angel. Well, maybe a little, but I think she was going to help me anyway. Thiago was all for it. I don’t know why, but that guy has never really been too much of an asshole to me.”

“I think it’s because of me. He cares with his whole heart. He’s been drawn to me since the beginning”—I see Greyson’s brow furrow in confusion and possibly a tinge of jealousy—“as a friend, Grey. Calm those brows down. Now back to what I was saying, I think maybe he can see you how I see you, and he just wants me to be happy.”

His shoulders relax. “Yeah, maybe, but Rian? He was totally against it. He told Lya he wouldn’t take part in this, and looked like he wanted to murder me the whole time we were making plans.”

I can just picture it now, Rian standing off in the shadows with his arms crossed and hazel eyes burning a hole through Greyson’s skull. “I think that’s just Rian. I’m pretty sure he even hates me. Seems like he hates everyone except Lya, Zep, and Thiago.”

When I was first brought back to Craibridge, Rian was skeptical of me, but he was a jokester and always trying to lighten the mood, even when he was looking at me with suspicious eyes. He still jokes around a lot, but it’s only around Lya and the guys. Since Lya found me in the library with Greyson, Rian has been more standoffish when I’m around. I don’t think he trusts me anymore.

“Nah, he doesn’t hate you. I never really got to know him on a personal level, but I can tell that he has some deep, dark demons inside. I can tell because mine are the same. That’s probably why he’s so against you being with me. He knows my evil and doesn’t think I’m good enough for you.” Guilt strains his voice, breaking my heart in half.
