Up until now, he’s done a great job of keeping his hands to himself, but his resistance seems to be wearing thin. His touch on my face causes my skin to tingle, and goosebumps to cover my arms. Anyone else’s touch would usually make me cringe and feel repulsed, but his spreads warmth through my body. It gives me a strange sense of familiarity and comfort.

“Greyson…” I look into his eyes, pleading with him. I’m not sure what I’m pleading for—for him to kiss me or to keep his distance?

“Yes, angel?” His eyes darken with lust, as they drop to my lips. He slowly closes the space between us, pressing his body against mine, his warm breath skating across my lips. All I can smell is his delicious mint scent. My chest is rising up and down so fast, pushing against his body.

I can’t handle this anymore.

“Greyson, please.” My voice is husky, and I know I want him to kiss me. I’ve never wanted anything more.

What the fuck am I doing? All my common sense has left me. I can’t think coherently with him so close to me.I wonder what he tastes like.

He dips his head and runs his nose along my neck, stopping by my ear. “Please, what?” he whispers, causing a soft moan to slip from my lips.

“Please... Please kiss me.” I thought I’d be able to resist him, but being this close is making my head spin. I’m going to regret this later, but right now, all I can think about is having his body on mine.

That’s all it takes for Greyson to lose his control. His mouth comes crashing down on mine, as I bring my hands up to run through his hair. Gripping my hips, he pulls me harder against him. Our tongues are frantically fighting for dominance, fighting to get closer and closer. I’m already addicted to his soft lips.

Right here, right now, Greyson is the only thing that matters. His body pressed against mine is exactly how I’d imagined it would be. I’d stay like this forever, if I could just forget about all of our problems.

Pulling back from the kiss, I rest my forehead on his muscular chest. His heart is beating just as fast as mine. I grin, knowing I’m not the only one affected.

“We should probably go.” My voice is barely above a whisper.

It was reckless doing this out here in the open. Lya or one of the guys could have randomly shown up and caught us.Do I even hear myself? The fact that I’m worried about getting caught should make me stop this right here and now, but I just can’t.

Instead of pushing it further, Greyson steps back from my body and reaches for the door handle. My body immediately aches at the loss of him.

Stepping around him, I slide into the car, once again feeling my walls going back up, but I’m not sure if my heart is behind them or in Greyson’s hands. He gets in, starting the car and driving us toward this surprise location. The radio is barely above a hum, but I can hear a song from the band Anarchy Black playing in the background. It’s one I’ve heard Zep listening to when he’s in the gym working out.

Reaching over, Greyson gently places his large hand on my thigh, firmly gripping it. I should tell him to take his hand off of me, but I won’t.I actually want it there.Heat spreads to my core from his touch, reminding me there is no stopping the chaos forming between us.

The temperature rises, causing me to wiggle in my seat. I can feel my core turning into a pool between my legs just from his touch alone. He briefly looks over at me, meeting my eyes. Mischief swims within his gaze.

Lord, I want him. I know I do, and I refuse to hide from this hurricane that’s about to destroy me.

Arriving at Juli’s, it’s not what I expected. I’d assumed he’d take me to some fancy restaurant trying to impress me, but instead he’s brought me to a place that, based on first impressions, looks like it should be shut down by the health department. I kind of love it. It gives me hope that their food will be delicious. Plus, I’m glad he went with something casual, realizing that I don’t need nor want extravagant things.

“Hmm, this isn’t what I expected. I would have guessed you’d go over the top for our first date, not take me here,” I joke.

I can’t believe I actually said that.This isn’t a date.

“Date, huh? Get used to it, angel. I’ll never do or be what you expect.”

Walking into Juli’s, it’s exactly what I imagined it to be from the outside. There are wooden tables covered with ratty red and white checkered tablecloths. Metal folding chairs surround each of the tables. Booths line the walls, which are painted a hideous shade of lime green, with tacky food posters hanging around the place. I have a full view of the kitchen, which looks run-down and a little gross.

This place would probably scare off any normal person, but to me, this is incredible. I haven’t even tried their food yet, but I already want to wrap this place up and put it in my pocket to keep it safe from outsiders.Shit, I’m an outsider. Though I have a feeling I won’t be for long. This is going to be my place. I can feel it.

Sitting down in one of the booths, I continue to take in the place as a middle-aged woman with gorgeous black hair and chocolate brown eyes approaches our table.

“Well hello again, Greyson. What can I get you?” She talks to him like they’re old friends. How often does he come here?

“I’ll just have water, thanks,” Greyson says, smiling at her. I order too, letting her know I’ll have the same.

“Back again, Greyson? How often do you come here? Do you bring all your dates here?” I tease, but there’s also a hint of curiosity.

“Is that jealousy I detect? Sure sounds like it to me.” His playful tone only serves to irritate me.

I narrow my eyes at him. “No, I’m not jealous. Just curious. There’s a difference.”
