“Should we leave?” Billie asked uncertainly.

My throat squeezed shut. I didn’t want Hayk leaving. Not when we’d only just met.

I also hated myself for having that reaction.

Olympus sighed and studied Hayk and Billie for a moment. “I probably should tell you to leave, but something tells me you might be useful in helping us figure this out.”

“Agreed,” Magnus said. “Speaking as a former whore myself, our sort can be extraordinarily useful at untangling mysteries, particularly where the high and mighty are concerned.”

Both Billie and Hayk gaped at Magnus.

“You? A whore?” Billie blurted, grinning at him like he was her new hero. “I thought you were a king.”

“I am, darling,” Magnus said with a clever wink. “Let it be a lesson to you—the more cocks you suck, the more secrets you reveal.”

Billie laughed out loud, her eyes dancing with admiration for Magnus.

Not everyone else was as quick to be merry as she was.

“What do we do about Eneko’s murderer, then?” Jace asked. “And what do we do about Dmitri?”

“Assuming those two things aren’t one in the same,” Sebald said, equally grave.

“I’ll find out what’s going on with Dmitri,” I said, though I couldn’t sound happy as I said it. I felt like Dmitri was my responsibility now, and he was a harder and harder burden to bear with each passing minute.

“I can help,” Hayk said, surprising me.

He surprised everyone, including Magnus and Olympus.

“How can you help?” Magnus asked.

Hayk grinned at him—one whore in league with another instead of a lowly man speaking to a king. “I have my ways,” he said.

Magnus seemed to understand. He glanced to me with a smirk. I didn’t like one single thing about what that look implied. “I am fascinated to see what you come up with,” he said.

“In the meantime,” Olympus said, clearly anxious about everything going on in his home, “I’ll tell Father about stepping up the lockdown of the estate until we figure out what happened to Eneko.”

“It has to be either Dmitri or the third person,” Lefric said, almost talking to himself.

I didn’t know what he was talking about.

“If we’re going to be stuck up here for more than one day, someone needs to tell Master Daron where we are,” Billie said, losing some of her humor. “He’s likely to do something drastic if we go missing.”

“If we’re locked down, then no one can take a message to Master Daron right away,” Olympus said with a frown. “But if you show up with a large bag of gold whenever we deem it’s safe to let people in and out of the compound again, do you think he’d forgive you?”

“Maybe,” Billie said. She slid closer to Olympus. “And for the right price, I could keep you company while the mystery is solved.”

“Oy!” Lefric shouted, mock horror in his expression. “That one’s mine!”

“Now, now,” Olympus said, raising his hands and clearly loving every moment of the teasing. “I suppose I could entertain both of you, if I had to.”

Billie and Lefric laughed. So did Magnus, which didn’t surprise me.

I shook my head and made a sound of disgust before I could stop myself…because that’s just what I did. I didn’t really have the feelings that the sound made it seem like I had.

“I’m going to start calling you Anton the Jealous,” Hayk laughed at me. He then leaned closer, put his hand on my ass, and said, “Don’t worry, I have a plan for getting your Dmitri to reveal everything, and it also involves a threesome.”

I snapped away, eyes wide with horror…cock pulsing. “I am not having a threesome with you and Dmitri,” I hissed.
