Sinclair look between Austin and grandmother Basil.

“It seems as though the two of you have already made up your mind,” Sinclair said frustrated.

“Don't look so down Sinclair, you know how I love a challenge. I feel like this is a time where I can do something that I'm good at and help other people at the same time.”

Grandmother Basil reached out across the table and placed her hand atop of Austin’s.

“I want you to know that no matter what happens, I'm proud of you. Now I don't know if it's really going to work or not, but what I do know is that your heart is in the right place and that you have the talent to pull this off if anyone can.”

“I don't know how talented you are, but I will say that he's inspired by the owner of the shop called Chrysalis,” Sinclair said with a knowing grin.

“So that is the reason why Jillian was trying to be my friend all last week in church?” Grandmother Basil said.

“You know Jillian Walker?” Austin asked

“I don’t know her as she’s never come to the house, but we went to school together and she knows I keep up to date on the comings and goings in town. Next to Caroline I try to keep myself up to date with what is going on. According to Jillian you have been into Claudia’s shop more than your fair share and she wanted to get an idea if she had to hunt you down or not,” Grandmother Basil said with a smile on her face.

“Tell me this is not the cause of a woman. I know you have money, and you can do what you want to do but be reasonable. This is a small town, and you have to be very careful,” Sinclair said.

“I know that Sinclair is not on board, but I happen to think a boutique is still a great idea,” grandmother Basil said.

Sinclair look between the both of them and then folded his arms over his chest.

“Okay let's assume that I think that this is a good idea. Austin knows how to make something more beautiful or to draw it. Where is he going to get a bunch of designers in a small town like this?” Sinclair asked sarcastically.

“I never thought that was a problem. From where I'm standing you have local unused talent,” Austing said.

Sinclair again and threw his hands up in the air.

“Austin are you seriously going to start adventure all the success depends on one woman?” Sinclair asked. grandmother Basil turned to face Sinclair.

“Young man that is the fate of the world. It all depends on the actions of one woman,” grandmother Basil said.

Chapter Three

Claudia hated homecheck day. Naomi Wells was on her from to see how Whisper and Smoke were acclimating to the change of living with her instead of just visiting her. It would be the first time of six home visits that Claudia would have to pass. Claudia could hear the criticism already.
