Daemona gritted her teeth and tried to gingerly step off the embankment into the bog, but she slipped and went face first into the water with a splash. She was up in an instant with a big water bug trying to paddle over her wet hair. Her two companions looked at her and tried not to smirk, turning their faces away.

“I’m fine, thanks for asking,” she growled.

They reached the other side and Daemona wrung her jacket and shirt of the foul water.

“We’ve still got some daylight left, we should keep going,” said Ghul Lykos.

Harlin held up a hand and asked, “Do you know a good place to camp, not too far from here?”

“Not a good place,” admitted Ghul Lykos, “but a place, yes.”

“How far?”

“Maybe a mile or two. I think we can make it by around sundown. But it’s hard to tell in the Swamp. It might already be later than I think it is.”

“Let’s try then. As long as you think it’s safe.”

“You’re never safe here. But some places are worse than others.”

“Hold on,” Daemona said. “Harlin, you said if I could find someone willing.”

“No one is here but us,” Harlin answered.

Daemona looked at Ghul Lykos and the big man shrugged at the two of them asking, “What?”

“I’m weak. This is pace is hard for me and I need to replenish my powers, do you think we could…”

“What?” snapped Ghul Lykos. “Bed you here?”

“Yes,” she said licking her lips and sending out her pheromones that usually intoxicated any man in her reasonable vicinity. Of course, in her weakened state she knew it couldn’t be as potent as usual, but she had to try and sweeten the deal for a man who had bizarrely given her almost no attention as yet.

“You’re not my type,” he said.

“What’s that?”

“Human,” he said, turning away and continuing down the path.

Harlin looked down at her and smirked.

“I’m not much good to you this weak,” she said. “Help a girl out.”

“I don’t think so. You’ll be all right,” he said.

Just then they heard someone walking through the woods whistling. It came from the opposite direction which Ghul Lykos had gone, otherwise they should have thought it to be him.

A man in a green tunic and red hood came walking down eth path, with an axe over his shoulder.

“What are you doing here?” Harlin asked.

“I’m looking for some wood,” answered the man.

“Me too,” said Daemona.

“I’ll catch up to Ghul Lykos, don’t take too long,” Harlin said as he went down the trail into thick brush.

The woodsman puzzled at that but then looked to Daemona as she took off her hood and cloak. “Oh,” he said, as he doffed his own coat and dropped his pants.

His member was nothing special, but he was a man and Daemona needed the energy.
