She didn’t reply.

“Hey,” He rolled her over, but she kept her head turned away. “What’s the matter?” he asked. “Is this about the sex club fantasy? Because I thought—”

“No, that was fun.” Her voice was voice hushed. “I don’t know how to explain it.”

He remained quiet, holding her close.

“Everything is so good between us. I’m afraid something will go wrong soon.” She lifted her worried eyes to his.

She articulated the anxiety he’d felt earlier. He loved her and would do anything to make her happy, and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. There was only one way to remove any doubt and solidify their relationship against any threat. “Let’s get married, and then no matter what happens, we’ll be together.”

Her mouth fell open. “What?”

He pressed his lips against her shoulder. “I said let’s get married.”

“You’re joking.” With a laugh, she swatted his arm and rolled over to get out of bed.

“I’m not kidding.” He grabbed her and pulled her back to the bed. “Say yes.”

“Wait a minute.” She stared at him. “We need to talk about this. It was just last week when you told me you loved me.”

“So?” He smiled at her shocked expression. “Do we have to follow a designated timetable?” It really was a brilliant idea.

Uncertainty furrowed her brow. “I don’t know, Leo.”

He placed a kiss between her brows. “Then let me get rid of all that doubt.”

“Is this about my father? Because if it is, you don’t have to worry. He called me today and we talked—well, mostly he talked—and yelled,” she said with a grimace. “It’s the same stuff he’s said before about your father and Malcolm. I listened to what he had to say, and I told him none of it mattered to me. Or us.” She cradled his face with her hands and gave him a kiss.

Relief rushed through him, but it wasn’t enough. “I love you so much.” He returned her kiss. “And we’re officially engaged.”

“Be serious, Leo” She jerked away and sat up.

“I am serious.” Leo pushed her back onto the bed. “We’re in love and we’re meant to be together, so there’s no reason not to get married as soon as possible.”

“You’re crazy.” She tried to stifle a smile.

“Admit I’m right.”

Her eyes searched his for the longest time.

“You still have doubts, don’t you?” he asked.

“It’s just so sudden.”

“It doesn’t matter if it happened fast.”

“Can I think about it?”

“No,” he said, kissing her neck. “I wish we could get married right now. Getting engaged tonight is my only concession.” He placed kisses along her neck and down her body, paying particular attention to her sexy navel.

She threaded her hands through his hair with a low laugh. “You’re that sure of yourself?”

He lifted his head with a smile, straddled her, and slid his cock inside. “I am.” He withdrew and pushed back in slowly, finding the perfect rhythm.

With a contented sigh, Cassandra wrapped her legs around his ass, joining him in the pace he set.

“So, what’s your answer?”
