“Do you think he sent it?”

“I do.”

“So, the E stands for what?” Lucy motioned with her hand, waiting for Cassie to fill in the blank.

She looked up at her friend. “Eros.”

“Oh. My. God.” Lucy covered her mouth with her hands. “That must have been some kind of night.”

“It sure was.” Cassie drew in a long breath.

“What happens now?” Lucy asked.

“I have no idea.” She held her hands up in frustration. “He told me his family has a construction business. Later, I found out there’s a rivalry between his family’s business and my father’s. My dad would probably lose his mind if he knew I spent the night with him.”

Lucy pointed a finger at her. “What doyouwant to happen? You’re a grown-up. You can make your own decisions.”

“You’re right.” But she couldn’t make this decision unilaterally. She was too proud to chase him down. “What I want is to—” she stopped talking because the waiter returned to their table.

“Excuse me. I wanted to let you know another guest has paid for your lunch today.”

“Who?” Lucy asked with excitement, scanning the restaurant.

The waiter tipped his head to the right with a smile. “The gentleman over at the table near the window. Enjoy the rest of your day, ladies.”

She was about to turn around to see which man the waiter referred to when Lucy said, “Don’t look, but Leo Sutton is here. He’s sitting at a table with an older man.” Lucy cocked her head to the side. “He looks amazing.”

“What?” Cassie said with a squeak. While her stomach did somersaults, she kept her eyes glued to Lucy, her mind spinning with what she should do.

“He’s leaving with the other man. No, wait. He’s not leaving.” Lucy gripped Cassie’s hand. “He’s headed this way.”

Cassie drew in a long breath, calming her racing pulse. “I forgot to mention something.”

“What is it? He’s almost here.”

“Eros is Leo Sutton.”

“Holy shit,” gushed Lucy.

“Holy shit is right,” Cassie muttered, trying to compose herself. She took a peek at him. Leo’s hair was shorter, and he’d shaved off his beard, which defined the sharp planes of his face. He wore a designer suit that showcased his broad shoulders and trim waist. He looked nothing like the Eros she’d met in Santorini, but his amber eyes were as captivating as when they first met. And right now, they were focused on her. Her body yearned to go to him, but her mind hit the brakes. Their little game was over, and so was their night together. Now what?
