She unlocked the door and stepped inside. Leo followed her and closed the door behind him.

“Do you want to come in?” What a stupid thing to say. He was already inside. “I mean, do you…want to stay for a while?”

Leo’s fingers brushed against her cheek. “What are you trying to say, Deusa?”

His voice moved through her body like a flame.

“I want to be with you.” She wouldn’t change her mind because she wanted more of him.

Leo kept his eyes focused on hers. “Despite all the publicity in the press? And what about your father?”

Lucy managed to survive the paparazzi and social media since she’d married Justin, so it could be done. And her father? She didn’t want to think about him right now, not when Leo was here with her. She settled on Leo’s amber eyes smoldering with passion. “I don’t care if it’s the press, my father, or anyone else who tries to get between us. It’s whatI want.”

Leo moved in close and said, “You haven’t met my family yet. You might change your mind.”

“I won’t,” she said. “I’m ready for anything.”

“Good, because you’re coming with me to my grandfather’s birthday party. It’s in two weeks.”

Panic spiked from her tips of her toes to the top of her head. She’d expected to ease into getting to know his family, not be thrown into it so soon.

“You’re serious?”

“I am. You said you were ready for anything.”

“But I’m a Papadakis.”

“So?” He gently trailed his lips down her neck. “It’ll be fine. You’ll like my grandfather.” He kissed her slow and deep, his hips pressed against hers. His growing erection was unmistakable.

Desire coursed through her. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer. “Let’s go to bed.” Cassie tugged at his shirt.

Leo looked at her with hooded eyes. “I want that more than anything, but I want to make it special.”

“Let’s do it now, and it can be special later.”

Leo gave her a panty-dropping smile. “I like the way you think.” He placed a tender kiss on her forehead. “But we’re still going to wait.”

He was serious? This wasn’t how she hoped this day would end.

“How long are you going to make me wait?” she asked in frustration.

“Friday. I’ve got loads of work to get caught up with.” He pushed a tendril of her hair over her ear. “We’ll go out for dinner and then we’re going to spend the entire weekend together.”

“It sounds wonderful.”

“And pack a bag because you’re not leaving my apartment until Monday morning.” He gave her a final kiss and left.

Cassie closed the door and leaned her back against it. Her lips still tingled with the sensation of his kiss. Friday couldn’t get here fast enough.
