The Alpha’s power rippled through the bond again, and I shook my head summoning up my own power to push him right back. “No.”

Every wolf, even Jamie staggered back, clutching their chest in surprise.

“You can’t do this. You’re not even a wolf you’re a filthy half breed,” he cried, charging forward.

“A filthy half breed, with a claim to your seat, Adrian,” I said squaring my shoulders. “For ten years, I’ve let you run this pack into the ground…I won’t stand for that anymore.”

“What are you saying?” Ronnie asked, appearing at her husband’s shoulder.

I smiled, leveling Adrian with a glare. “Adrian Lefevre, I challenge you for your seat, and your pack. I challenge you for Alpha as dictated by the old laws.”

“You’re insane.” He gaped at me.

I shrugged. “Maybe so, but we’re doing this. No magic, no interference from the pack, no tricks. Just you and me. To the death.”
