Spencer looks at me and drops his arms. “We could introduce her to Archie. I think he’s single.”
“Oooh. Archie.” Liv claps. “Cute name. I’m in!”
I stifle a laugh and glance at the clock. Speaking of Archie, Spencer’s got to get to the library soon. As if reading my mind, he says, “I’d better head off to my next job. I just wanted to say hi to your sisters first.”
“Two jobs?” Darby nods appreciatively. “Overachiever.”
Spencer tilts his head. “Actually, I’ve got three jobs. But that’s only temporary. And it’s for a good cause.”
“Nice.” Olivia shifts her focus to me, and her cloud of flirt has disappeared. “I like your secret boyfriend, Tess. You’ll have to share all your tips on how you scored him.”
Spencer leaves, but not before tossing me one last glance over his shoulder. He bites his lip and arches a brow, like he can barely contain his desire.
My insides churn. The minute I’m free to kiss that man again, I’ll give him something to smolder over.
“Okay, that’s it.” Darby snorts. “Tess is officially on fire.”
“That reminds me.” Liv pulls a tube of aloe vera from her purse and hands it over. “Here. For the burn.”
