“Me too. I mean, I guess if the family hasn’t missed it all these years, they probably don’t even know the papers and uniform exist, but I would really like to get the items back to them.”

Jane nodded. “That was fun last night with all of us running in to each other at Splash. We should plan more get-togethers with the eight of us.”

“I agree. I really love our morning coffees, but it would be fun to have something that we do regularly with the guys too.” They’d gotten together many times but had nothing planned on a regular basis.

“It’s a great way to catch up. Poor Maxi, though. She seems a little down. She’s still having trouble with the dog painting.” Jane reached down and petted Cooper, who responded by thumping his tail against the leg of the table.

“She’ll work it out. She’s a great artist.”

“Yep, she just needs to figure it out.”

“Speaking of get-togethers, we’re meeting at Sandcastles tomorrow morning, right?”

“Yes.” Jane’s phone pinged and Andie stood.

“I gotta get to the library. See you later.”

Jane looked down at her phone and saw an email, an applicant replying to her ad in the newspaper. She hoped this one would be a little more suitable.
