“Why?” I smiled at Carter. “You’re trying to keep me away from Jack.” My smile turned into a grin. “And Blake.”
“That’s what we are proposing,” Ryan said.
“Sorry,” I said and shook my head before I smiled. “Asking Jack and Blake to move in too.”
Carter sighed. “Before I put this to you, I want to know if you want us to try again?”
“Don’t break the fucking rules, Carter,” Kane yelled.
I side-peeped at Kane and wondered why he seemed so opposed to my ex-boyfriend asking for another try.
“She was still my girlfriend,” Carter argued back.
“Exactly… Was,” Kane growled.
“No, I already told you, Carter, just get down to what you want to say so I can go home.”
That stopped whatever was going on between Carter and Kane. Carter sighed, and Ryan nodded to him.
“You become our girl. Only ours,” Carter said with a huff.
I swallowed an enormous lump lodged inside my throat, which came from nowhere.
“Ours? Do you mean what I think you mean?” I slowly looked at the guys one by one, and each of them nodded. I knew my mouth was wide open, but my slackened jaw wouldn’t budge.
I glanced at Ryan, expecting him out of the four of them to say something. He only nodded. Two voices said, “yes.” But by then my head was spinning and I didn’t have a clue who was saying what.
I jolted out a breath. “But I have to share myself among the four of you,” I said when my mouth worked again. “What, you mean like an orgy?” I squeaked. “Yeah, I kissed you all, but sleeping with you all is something else.”
“Okay Lacey, it might be weird, but hear me out. You contemplated sharing with Jack and Blake,” Ryan said. It surprised me he came out with the comment more than if any of the others had.
I held my hand in the air to stop his thoughts dead in his tracks. “Weird… that’s an understatement. I’d say reckless… inappropriate…” I said and sighed. “Anyway, I didn’t consider them. They asked for the first time when I was leaving.”
“And have you considered it?” Kane asked, his lip turned up.
“Maybe a bit, but that’s two. There’s four of you.”
“Hey Lacey, I’m a one-woman kind of guy. I’m happy for it to be me and you and nobody else.” Seb winked, he smiled in a knowing way.
“I’m not a sharer. Just you and me, babe.” Kane said. Which I found quite amusing because Kane had never called me ‘babe’, only princess to piss me off. But babe—maybe that was a sexual term he used for the women he bedded.
“I’d need a little loving.” I smirked.
“I told you not to believe what you’ve heard about me,” he hissed, then smiled. “I’ve saved the good stuff for you.”
“You saved it?”
His mouth curled up on one side, and my eyes narrowed in response.
“I’m not really into sex… Well I am, but it’s complicated,” Ryan stuttered. “No offence, you’re really attractive but I’m happy kissing you, you kiss really nicely.”
“You’re not?” I asked.
“It’s complicated,” he repeated.
I smiled at Ryan. “Okay, I’ll sleep with you every night.”
Carter turned to me. “Don’t believe everything that comes out of Ryan’s mouth.” He glared at Ryan for a second, and then at me. “You’ll sleep in your own bedroom and only you choose who you want to share your bed with. We don’t choose. We’re already yours, but there has to be some sort of order.”
