Me: I believe you.

Kelly: Good, now go ride that man like there's no tomorrow.

Me: KELLY!

Kelly: What? I would, but he's never shown an interest in me and like I said, he really isn’t my type. You get it girl.

Me: See you tonight.

I watch Titus as he finishes what he's doing. I didn't realize it until just now, but I'm wearing almost the same thing as him. Black ripped jeans, a black tank crop top, and black boots.

He has his long hair pulled back into a bun. He's wearing a tight black t-shirt and black jeans with the same black Chucks he wore the first time I saw him. The way his clothes fit snug against his body, but not tight, is sexy as fuck. I wonder if his abs do that V thing.

He turns towards me, and I look down, embarrassed that I was sitting her pretty much undressing him with my eyes. I see his shoes come into view right in front of me.

He puts the tips of his fingers under my chin and lifts my head, then swipes his thumb over the skin just beneath my lower lip.

"You ready?"

His smile. Fuck me, why is he so gorgeous?

What was that about swearing off men?

Iwaitoutsidewhile Titus turns all the lights out and locks the doors.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"There's a little Italian place a few doors down. Sound good?"

"Yes. I love Italian."

"Great."

He slides the keys into his pocket as we turn to walk towards the restaurant. He holds the door open for me to walk in first, then puts his hand on the small of my back as he comes in behind me and we wait to be seated.

It's such a small gesture, but at the same time, I absolutely love it.

After we sit, order our food, and get our drinks, my nerves start kicking in. It's easy to stay busy at first when you get to a restaurant, but now the small talk begins.

"So, I know a little about you. The reason you got the tattoos, at least. What else should I know?"

"What else do you want to know?"

"Anything you're willing to tell me."

I pause for a moment, trying to think of what I can tell this man.

"I really like house plants and books. I'm more of a cat person." I nod my head a few times. "My life is pretty boring."

"No, not at all. You're kind of starting all over again. I imagine your ex leaving was a tremendous change."

"It was, but I'm at peace with it now. And yeah, I am starting all over again. Learning to love myself and all my flaws."

"We are definitely our own worst critic."

"Yeah. My inner self hates me at the moment."

His brows pinch together. Oh crap, why did I say that?
