I set my phone on the passenger seat, then grip my steering wheel and stare through the windshield into the dark parking lot.

That was amazing, but my first date with Night was amazing as well. I can't let myself get caught up in the giddiness of it all or wear my heart on my sleeve again. I can't and won't let myself get hurt.

Titustextedmeafter our dinner to make sure I made it home safe, and I've also gotten a good morning and good night text every day with some sprinkled in conversation.

Titus: Good morning, beautiful.

I don't think this will ever get old.

Me: Good morning, handsome.

Titus: Are you ready to get your butt whooped in putt-putt?

Me: Oh, you think you can beat me?

Titus: Absolutely.

Titus: I'm taking you out. My luck has already turned for the better.

I grab my pillow, put it over my face, and squeal into it. Could he be any sweeter?

Me: You definitely know what to say to make a girl blush.

Titus: I have many other talents you have yet to discover.

Me: Oh yeah? Like what?

Titus: If I told you, it would ruin the fun.

Me: Oh, alright.

Titus: Have you figured out where you want to eat before golf?

Me: The place we are going has a snack bar with hot dogs and pizza, is that okay?

Titus: Whatever you want is fine with me.

Me: Okay, then yeah, let's eat there :)

Titus: I'll be there to pick you up at six.

Me: Okay.

Titus: Have an amazing day.

Me: You too.

I hop out of bed, ready to face the day. I have nothing planned besides watering my plants, finishing the book I am seventy percent done with, and getting ready for my date. Maybe I'll clean a bit too. I'm not good at waiting.

I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in."

The door swings open, and a very spunky Kelly comes bouncing in.

"Who's so excited about their date?"
