My head swivels to the right and my heart sinks to my toes. Is that him? Big-cock-elevator man?

No, it can’t be.

I gape and squint at the broad-shouldered man I see moving between barns. His build is similar. Shockingly so. But when he turns, I see he’s got a full, dark beard. Mr. Suck-My-Clit-Until-I-Come has a very smooth face. It felt wonderful between my thighs.

Damn. Last night was fantastic.

I need to stop thinking about him and find Boone. I guess I had expected her to be waiting for me when I arrived. I suppose she is off doing some kind of chores. She's always been very closed-mouthed about the details of what she did during her summer vacations.

I'm thinking about whether I ought to go and knock on the door of the giant house when noises echo from my right. Someone is shouting and making a commotion, then I hear my name.

I turn and here comes Boone riding up on the most beautiful horse I've ever seen, a pale yellow colored animal with a long flowing mane. Boone gallops toward me, grinning.

She and the horse move together in a rhythm that makes it seem like they are totally at one with each other. I've never seen her look so at ease and comfortable with herself.

As I watch, I realize this is what someone looks like when they are completely in their element.

I break into a huge grin as the horse stops next to my car. Boone is out of the saddle with her feet on the ground and her arms around me in one fluid motion.

"You’re here! I’m so glad to see you!" She hugs me and swings me around before she puts me back on the ground.

I laugh and relish the warmth of her greeting. It is hard to feel anything but happy when you're around Boone.

She holds me out at arm's length to inspect me.

"I'll be honest with you," she says, "I wasn't exactly sure you’d make the trip."

I'm somewhat hurt by her words. But I can understand her point since this is hardly the sort of place I've ever been before. I look at her and hold her gaze.

"You invited me, Boone. How could I say no to that? Besides," I say, "I've missed you."

She laughs and gives me another hug before releasing me.

"Sugar," she says to the horse, "Go back to the stable." The horse gives her a look and then Boone pulls a carrot out of her pocket and feeds it to the animal, rubbing its nose. "Okay, now you can go." The horse does that thing where it blows the air out of its lips and then takes off toward one of the buildings.

Of course Boone has her horse trained to take itself back to the stable. I shake my head and grin.

She opens the door to my car and grabs my suitcase.

"Hey," I say to her, "do I need to move my car? Where’s your house? Do you have to get back to work?"

"Woah. Slow down with all the questions," Boone says. "You worry too much. Good thing you're here for some rest and relaxation. You’ve got to get on ranch time." She laughs at her joke, and strides toward the front door at the big log home.

I follow behind, confused. "Am I staying here? I thought I'd stay with you."

Boone stops and turns to me. "You are staying with me." Pausing, she looks sheepish. "This is my house." Then she sweeps her free hand out around her. "This is my family ranch. North Starr Ranch is the largest in Montana."

She's a little bit proud of her family heritage and a little bit embarrassed knowing she has been keeping a big secret from me all this time.

I gaze around for a full minute. I turn from the house and look at the surroundings. There are a number of spacious barns, pastures of cows and horses. A smattering of cabins. And wide-open country for nearly as far as I can see. I take this all in and turn back to Boone.

"Thisbelongs to your family?"

"Yep," she says. "Sixty-four thousand acres to be precise."

I pause to let that sink in. I turn back to her and ask, "Why didn't you ever tell me?"

I continue to stare at Boone.
