“Have you seen my boobs?” Aria asked. “They’re epic. And all natural.”

Cassie rolled her eyes. “You’re better than that, Ar.”

The smile dropped off Aria’s face as a sad one took its place. “That’s just because you don’t know me at all.”

“What’s that mean?”

Aria shook her head like she was shaking off a memory. “Nothing important. So are you gonna hook me up, too?”

Cassie grabbed her phone off her nightstand. “I’ll call Jamal.”

Aria reached under Cassie’s pillow and pulled out a sucker.

“Really, Ar? How many of those do you have hidden throughout our apartment?”

Aria took the sucker out of its wrapper and popped it in her mouth. “I’ll never tell.”

-------------------------

Cassie, Jamal, Trevin, Aria and Natasha were sitting on the couches that were facing each other in their Top Golf area. The Thunder’s post player and the person who Jamal picked to go out with Natasha, Kamrin Lucas, was on the ledge of their area preparing to hit the first shot of the day. The golf club, which Cassie was told was called a driver, looked tiny in his hands.

“How tallishe?” Cassie whispered to Jamal. She had been staring at Kamrin the entire time they had been at Top Golf. Kamrin wasbigand had one of the bushiest beards Cassie had ever seen. It was weird, because he was totally intimidating, but in a cute way. He reminded Cassie of an adorable teddy bear. If a teddy bear came complete with dimples, muscles and a beard. And was a giant.

“Seven feet,” Jamal said with a grin her way.

“Wow,” Cassie muttered, shock on her face. “That’stall.”

“Post players have to be tall in the NBA, Bambi. I’m just a point guard and I’m six-three.”

“Good thing Natasha is almost six feet. She’s look pretty stupid with him if she were short like me.”

“I like you short, Bambi,” Jamal told her. “It makes you fit better in my arms.” He was rewarded with a sweet grin.

“Let’s go, mister hot shot,” Aria said. “Hope you can hit a golf ball better than you can hit free throws.”

Kamrin turned to Aria. “You better be quiet, Red, or I’ll tell Nico to let all the guys at the next game sitting in your area grab your ass all night.”

Aria stuck out her tongue toward Kamrin’s back.

“And I’d tell him tonotlet them grab your ass,” Trevin told Aria, resting his arm on the back of the couch where she was sitting next to him. Aria looked at his arm and gave Cassie a grin when their eyes made contact. Cassie gave her what she hoped was an inconspicuous thumbs up.

“I think they might be hitting it off,” Cassie whispered to Jamal, taking a bite of one of the cheese sticks she had ordered from their waitress.

“I think so, too,” Jamal nodded, nabbing the rest of the cheese stick Cassie held in her hand. “I told him she was a handful but I couldn’t talk him out of coming. Once he found out Aria needed a date he begged me to let him come. I think he’s smitten.”

Cassie grinned. “She is most definitely a handful.”

She turned back to watch Kamrin hit. He swung the golf club in his hands back behind him in an arc before swinging it back down toward the ball. Cassie’s eyes widened as the club connected with the ball with a loud crack. Cassie watched the ball sail toward the big three hundred fifty sign in the middle of the field.

“What does that three hundred fifty mean?” she asked Jamal.

“That, my dear,” Kamrin told her, “Is what you call a near perfect driver shot.”

Jamal rolled his eyes. “It’s how far he hit it.”

“Is that good?”

Kamrin stood behind Cassie and gave her shoulders a squeeze. “As good as Tiger Woods was back in the day.”
