His hands suddenly slipped into my hair, yanking hard, making his cock slip out from between my lips. He didn’t stop then, either. He kept pulling until I had no choice but to get back onto my feet to ease the sting across my scalp.

His lips slammed down on mine then—hard, hungry.

His hand reached behind me, yanking my robe down and off, and his hands drifted back to my ass again, sinking in, plastering me to him, his cock pressing against where I needed him most.

He glided against my cleft for a moment until the need took root and I took over.

His hands left then, finding a condom, then pushing me back to slip it on.

Then he was grabbing me, turning me, pressing my front against the wall of my home.

His hands grabbed my hips, yanking them back so my ass was arching toward him.

Then he was slamming inside me.

Hard.

Deep.

Taking every inch of me in one thrust.

Crow’s hands tensed on my hips as he let out a shaky breath.

“Fuck. I was a fucking idiot for staying away,” he added before there were no more words.

Just feelings.

Just the sensations as our bodies moved together.

As we drove each other up with rough, uncontrolled movements, too far gone to try to take it slow.

“Fuck, yeah, come for me,” Crow growled, using my hips to slam me back against him as he thrust forward.

Something about the primalness between us had me crashing down into an orgasm that stole my breath, left me gasping for air afterward.

By the time I came back down, Crow’s head was resting on my shoulder as he, too, struggled to even out his breath.

“That was worth the long-ass walk,” he told me, nipping my shoulder before moving away from me.

“Why did you walk?”

“Figured you didn’t want me drawing attention to this place, so I parked down by the farms and walked over.

“Thank you,” I said, surprised how careful he was being to protect my privacy.

Stooping down, I fetched my robe, holding it in my hand, not bothering to slip it on. What would be the point of that? He’d already seen damn near every inch of me.

“Coming in?” I asked, waving at the house.

“Yeah,” he agreed, no hesitation.

“We have to go around the back,” I explained, turning to walk in that direction.

“Don’t hear me complaining about the view,” he said, and I could hear the smirk in his voice. Hell, I could practically feel his gaze on my ass as we walked around the house and slipped in through the back.

“What made you decide to come over?” I asked as he followed me into the kitchen and tossed the condom, then washed his hands.

“This water pressure, baby,” he said, shaking his head.

“Yeah, try washing shampoo out of your hair with it,” I said, nodding.

“We got a new prospect tonight. The crew wanted to go out and party. Then they brought it back to the house. I wasn’t really in the mood, so I went outside. And Judge’s girl Delaney caught me staring off toward this place. She told me that you were probably five minutes away from giving up on me.”

She wasn’t wrong.

The worst part about it, though, was the fact that my damn heart felt more crushed in my chest with each passing day.

“You told them about me?” I asked, wondering if he would misinterpret the choked sound of my voice as fear or worry about my privacy. When, in fact, it was something like being pleased that he might do that.

“They assumed. They’ve made comments. I haven’t given them much detail. Since, you know, shit hasn’t exactly been clear here,” he said, waving between the two of us. “Are you making tea?” he asked as I started to fill the kettle. “Hot tea?” he clarified.

I hadn’t really even been aware of doing it. Making tea was practically an impulse. Especially when I was stressed or uncertain.

Even when it was something like eighty-five degrees outside, hot tea was like a warm hug to me.

I had a feeling this conversation with Crow was about to head into unfamiliar territory. The kind of place with uneven footing and the potential for harm around every corner.

I needed a warm hug.

“Yeah. Do you want any?” I asked, but I was already putting two mugs down.

“I guess I do,” he said, giving me a soft smile. “You gonna look at me at some point?” he asked a moment later as I busied myself with finding tea and putting it in bags, then searching for the honey.

“I thought you said you were enjoying the view,” I said, waving down at myself.

“Think I can manage both at the same time,” he said, moving closer, looming over me. “I think we need to talk, Red.”

“Talk about what?” I asked, feigning complete ignorance even though we both knew exactly what he was talking about.
