“Of course, thank you for the job, I’ve really enjoyed working here.”
I follow Tracy to the door, locking it after she leaves so I can be back in my office and not have to worry about anyone wandering in now that we’re closed for the day.
My phone starts ringing as soon as I walk back into my office. Grabbing it off the desk, I see Nathan’s face filling my screen.
“Hey,” I state, answering the phone. “How’s your day?” I ask.
“Better, now that I’m talking to you.” His sexy voice fills my ear. “How was yours?”
“Long, but good. Tracy worked today and was a huge help. She’s back tomorrow, as well as Lacey.”
“Sounds good. I’ve got some news,” he states, and I perk up at the excitement I’m now noticing in his voice.
“Do share,” I state, sitting down in my office chair.
“Leo and I have a meeting out east with a client next week. I’ve convinced him that when the meeting ends on Friday, that he can head home, and I’ll fly to you for the weekend. Do you think you can get away from Friday night until Sunday?”
“I can try, what did you have in mind?” I ask.
“I was thinking we could go rent a cabin and escape for the short time we’ve got. That way, we’ve got no distractions and I can keep you naked the entire time, if I want to.” I can hear the smirk in his tone. His suggestion sends a jolt of awareness straight to my core and I want nothing more than him between my thighs right now.
“Mhmmm, that sounds like a good plan.”
“You’re rubbing your thighs together right now, aren’t you?” he asks, and dammit, he’s right, I am.
“How’d you know?” I ask, almost a little embarrassed that he knows me so well.
“I know exactly how that mind and body of yours works.”
“Maybe you should call me later tonight on FaceTime and show me what yours is doing,” I toss out, knowing that it will drive him nuts for the next few hours.
“You’re evil, woman. But don’t think I won’t remember that,” he tsks. “I’ll be taking you up on that offer in a few hours, so be ready. I’m going to make you come so hard just from my words, and looking at me stroking my cock while you play with yourself. Fuck, I’m hard already thinking about this little idea of yours.”
“Next week can’t come soon enough,” I admit.
“When are you going to talk to Lacey about selling out to her? I know I told you I’d give you as much time as you need, but I’m also not too proud to beg you to work faster on making some changes so I can have you in my bed every night.”
“I can maybe bring it up this weekend. I think my aunt and uncle were going to take the kids for the weekend so she can have some time to herself.”
“That’s nice of them. Is she dating someone?” he asks.
“Not that I’m aware of. I don’t think she’s quite ready for that yet. The divorce is still kinda fresh.”
“Ah, that makes sense,” he states. “All right, I’ve got to head into another meeting, but I’ll be done in about two hours. Call you then?” he asks.
“I’ll be home and waiting. I’m headed out in just a few.”
“Talk to you later. Love you.”
“I love you, too,” I tell him before the call ends.
I gather my things, my tiredness suddenly gone after that call and the anticipation of what’s to come later tonight.
I make it home, pulling out some leftovers I had in the fridge to heat up for dinner. As it cooks, I pour a glass of wine to enjoy while I catch up on some shows on my DVR. I’ve just finished my second episode of one of my favorite medical shows, when my phone and iPad start ringing. I answer the FaceTime call on my iPad, as it is easier to prop up thanks to the case it is in.
“Hey,” I say, muting the TV so I can hear Nathan.
“Hey, gorgeous,” he greets back. “You look nice and cozy.”
