Lacey:I don’t think that will happen. Unless you’re feeding me a line of BS, I just don’t see it happening.

Garrett:I promise, no BS coming from me. Do you want me to bring anything for tomorrow night?

Lacey:Just your cute self. {winky kissy face}

Garrett:Are you flirting Ms. Flowers?

Lacey:If you have to ask, then I must be doing it very wrong. {hangs head in shame}

Garrett:No shame, just making sure I was reading your texts right. I didn’t want to assume and be wrong. I don’t need to make myself look like an ass.

Lacey:Once again, I don’t think you can make yourself look like an ass. You’ve always been the perfect gentleman when I’ve been around. I like it, so keep it up. {wink}

Garrett:Noted.

Garrett:Any chance I’ll be able to sneak you away for a kiss or two {or who am I kidding, as many as I can get away with}?

Lacey:I’d like that. A lot. But only time will tell.

Garrett:Way to keep a man hanging, or maybe I should look at it as something to look forward to? I like that idea.

Lacey:Just know it is just as hard for me to want to kiss you and not be able to as it is for you.

Garrett:What’s that famous saying – time and distance makes the heart grow fonder?

Lacey:Something like that. Just promise me you’ll be gentle with my heart. I don’t think I’ll survive another heartbreak.

Garrett:Sweetheart, if you entrust me with your heart, I’ll protect it with every fiber of my being.

Lacey:That’s a big promise.

Garrett:I know it is, but that’s how serious I am, and I want you to know. I’ll keep reminding you until you believe it yourself.

Garrett:I know you’ve been hurt by the man that was supposed to love and protect you, but if you let me, I want to be the man that shows you there’s good guys left in this world. You deserve to be loved unconditionally and shown what a real relationship can be like.

Lacey:I truly don’t know what to say right now. You make me want to believe in love again, and that scares the shit out of me.

Garrett:Not to change the subject, but I have to tell you something funny about the word shit. I was over at my sisters yesterday and said shit. Without hesitation, my nephew repeated it clear as day. I thought my sister was going to beat me within an inch of my life, but she took pity on me and then proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t the first time he’d done that in the past week.

Lacey:{giggling} kids cussing is the funniest thing ever. Both of mine have done it. What’s scary is how accurate they’ll use the word. They are always listening and pick up on those kinds of things. I usually try and not make a big deal, just casually say that’s a mommy word and not something they should say, because the bigger of a deal you make, the more they’ll say it supposedly.

Garrett:My sister did the same thing. But it was funny as all get out. I still can’t believe I didn’t laugh once.

Lacey:That is some major willpower there.

Garrett:Yeah. Guess it’s a good thing I got practice using my willpower, because it is going to take every ounce of it for me to keep my hands and lips off of you tomorrow at the park.

Lacey:Well then, maybe we’ll have to sneak into the office before we leave the bakery.

Garrett:Yes, definitely. I’m one-thousand percent on board with that idea.

Lacey:{Laughing} I’m sure you are {winky face}

Garrett:I’ll see you tomorrow… unless you want to FaceTime me once the kids are in bed tonight.

Lacey:Maybe…I’ll let you know. I might crash right after they go to bed, I have to be at the bakery early tomorrow.

Garrett:No pressure, but I’ll be around if you have time.
