“Tommy,” I start, a plea to my words and I have no idea if it’s because I need him so fucking badly or if I need him to walk away.
“No more excuses,” he says, and then his mouth is on mine.
I moan when his tongue traces my bottom lip, my head falling back, an open invitation for more and he takes it willingly, sucking hard on the pulse throbbing in my neck.
The chemistry between us is scorching, even hotter and stronger than it was before. I never thought a second kiss could be even better than the first, but the wait has been excruciating and it was something I never thought would happen again.
“There’s something so fucking powerful in your patience, in your ability to accept and be free and I can’t walk away from that,” he says, catching me off guard. I don’t know how to respond. I’ve wanted this, wanted him and now here he is standing in front of me, admitting he fucked up, and I’m so not used to that.
“Come home with me,” he growls, a demand in his tone, but somehow it still holds that choice he’s always given me. “But a warning, if you don’t, I’m going to fuck you right here.”
Chapter Twenty-Six
Tommy
I’m staring down at Penny, silently willing her to say yes, that I almost miss her answer.
“Yes,” she breathes out.
“What?” I ask, my heart hammering in my chest.
“Yes,” she repeats, her hands fisting my t-shirt as though she’s afraid I’m going to walk away.
As if.
I’m done walking away from this woman and all the things she does to me, the way she makes me feel. I can’t do it anymore, not when I want her so fucking badly.
“Yes, you’ll come home with me or yes I can fuck you right here?”
Penny’s mouth tugs into a smile as she licks her top lip and I swear, I nearly come in my pants. “Well, I did just clean up and mop the floor, so I think coming home with you is a better option.”
A huge grin breaks out on my face as I crush my mouth against hers again, relishing the taste of her, the feel of her body against mine. Fuck, I’m so hard right now.
“Let’s go,” I say when I pull back, both of us breathing a little harder.
Pen grabs her things, locking the door behind us as I take her hand and lead her over to my car. I open the passenger door, but she shakes her head, gesturing to her car.
“I’ll follow you,” she says, already walking toward her car.
“Pen, wait, I—”
“I’m coming home with you, Tommy,” she calls over her shoulder. “But I don’t need my car staying here all night and creating questions.” She opens her door and slips in behind the wheel, rolling her hand in my direction as if to say, hurry up.
Impatient, I hop into my truck and start the engine, relieved she’s still coming home with me, even if some small part of me wonders if she also doesn’t want anyone else to know about this. I shake my head, dismissing the thought because honestly, I don’t exactly want to shout from the rooftops what I’m about to do either.
Not because I’m embarrassed about it, far from it. I just don’t need the entire staff of Somerville’s and Apple Jacks gossiping about my sex life.
The short drive from the winery to my place feels like it takes forever. I spend more time looking into the rearview mirror, checking Penny is still behind me, that I do on the road in front of me that it’s a wonder I don’t crash my truck.
When I finally pull into my drive and shut off the engine, my body is amped, my dick hard and my fingers itching to touch her.
I’m out of the truck and beside her door before she even has a chance to undo her seat belt. As soon as she’s out of her seat, my arms are around her and I’m backing her up against the side of the car, my mouth on hers in a hard kiss.
Penny wraps her arms around my neck and pulls me closer. She lets out the sexiest whimper I’ve ever heard and I’m about two seconds away from fucking her against her car.
“God, I want you,” I growl against her mouth.
I feel her smile, her hands moving to my jeans where she undoes the belt and button. I feel her hand slip inside, her fingers curling around my dick as an embarrassingly loud groan falls from my mouth.
