“Seriously? I tell you I love you and you bust out that time I embarrassed myself?” I feign being hurt and I rest my head on his shoulder.

“It’s the day I knew I couldn’t live without you,” he admits. “Even though I was a dick to you the next morning, I knew you were it for me. You’re the only girl who can make me laugh like this. You’re the only girl who I want to spend every day with. You’re it, Pen.”

He shrugs his shoulders casually as he finally sets me down. I’ve never wanted to spend every day with someone like I do with him. I’ve never lasted more than three months with anyone and while this whole thing is so new and intense and all consuming, it’s everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s okay to go all in when you know the other person feels the exact same way.

I kiss him hard, practically bruising mine and his lips with the force, but I don’t care. We’re all tangled up in each other, this moment is pure and real and so fucking insane, but I love every second of it.

“So, do you guys just come and make out in here?” a voice asks, startling both of us, but at least it’s not the twins this time.

Dylan is standing in the entrance, an annoyed look on his face that I’m certain Tommy is mistaking for jealousy and silently patting himself on the back for landing me. I don’t think he realizes it wasn’t a competition, he was the only boy I wanted, but I won’t tell him that now.

“What do you need, Dylan?” I ask, while Tommy nuzzles his nose into my hair and begins to whisper very, very dirty things into my ear. He isn’t playing fair right now.

“Jack’s looking for Tommy. Needs him up by the cider house and Lu is looking for you. She’s in her office,” he says, matter-of-factly, letting out a huff as he waits for a response, his foot tapping slightly.

“Okay, thanks, man,” Tommy bites out, looking at him over the top of my head. “Need anything else?”

“Does everyone who works here just manage to find a kick ass girl? Am I the last one to have this magical thing happen to me?” he asks, looking around at the vineyard behind him. “Does the girl come to you? Is it the vineyard? Are Jack and Lauren expert matchmakers? What is it?”

Tommy and I both laugh, but I don’t think it’s the answer Dylan is looking for. He’s right though. This place feels magical, like there’s something about it that connects people; a strange pull toward the things they belong with.

“Hang tight, Dylan,” I say, smiling at him. “Something will come your way.”

“Damn well better because I don’t think I can work here with everyone making out and all fucking happy.”

He has Tommy and I laughing again as he storms off into the rows of grapevines behind him.

“He’s really fucking unpleasant,” Tommy chides, shooting a sour face in Dylan’s direction and I cock my head to the side, furrowing my brows.

“Really? I remember someone who was very much like that not so long ago.” I pat my hand on Tommy’s chest, looking up at him and waiting for his response.

“He needs to get laid,” Tommy now says, nodding as if he’s a damn expert. “Changed my whole life.” His words are laced with playful sarcasm and I can’t help but tease him right back.

“So that’s all I am? Just a good lay?”

“No, babe. You have a nice set of tits too.”

Chapter Thirty-Two

Tommy

“You cheeky shit,” Penny says, laughing as she slaps me on the chest.

“What? It’s the truth,” I reply, feigning surprise. “Anyway, as much as I’d love to continue talking about your tits and getting laid, I guess we need to go and see what Jack and Lauren want?”

Pen smirks, pinching my side as she says, “Yeah, I guess so. You wanna bring them both down here afterward for a taste?”

“There’s certainly something I’d like a taste of,” I murmur, grabbing her boob for a quick squeeze.

“Tommy!” she laughs, even as she leans into me, her body clearly wanting more right now.

I smile as I press a quick kiss to her lips. “We can pick this back up afterward too.”

Penny smacks me on the ass, laughing as she says, “Sounds good.”

We both head outside, Pen walking in one direction over to Lauren’s office and me in the other as I make my way over to Apple Jacks.

When I reach the cider house, Jack is in the front bar area, stacking tasting notes and brochures as he prepares for the opening in a couple of weeks. “Hey, you wanted to see me?” I ask, walking inside.
