He gives me a wink. “No, I’m not. But hey if she’s looking for work, I can make someenquiries, maybe take a look at her resume.”
“Okay, thanks,” I say with a nod, mentally reminding myself to mention it to Hannah. “No special favors though, only if it works out.”
“No special favors,” he repeats. “You after some lunch?”
“I am, yeah. With Tessa.”
“Oooo,” Leo sings, chuckling a little. “Things are getting serious.”
“Fuck off, not you too,” I reply, shaking my head. “What’s good today?”
“Dude, please,” he says, pursing his lips. “Everything I make is good.”
I wave off his comment with a laugh as I make my way back out of the kitchen. Tessa is sitting up at the bar waiting for me now and I smile as I make my way over to her.
“Hey, you ready for lunch?”
She looks up at me, her bottom lip between her teeth as her eyes roam over my face. “How bad did you get it after…” she trails off, waving her hand around the bar as though to remind me of what happened this morning.
Laughing, I gently pull her bottom lip from between her teeth with my thumb before planting a soft kiss on her mouth. “What do you think?” I murmur.
“It was bad?”
“Jack is always bad,” I say, kissing her again. “Double teamed with Tommy though, he’s a total fucking nightmare.”
Tessa smiles against my mouth, her eyes open as she watches me. “Well, if it makes you feel any better, I’m pretty sure Pen texted Lauren as soon as you left, because the two of them were all over my ass within five minutes.”
I lean closer, unable to resist as I say, “I’d like to be all over your ass.”
Tessa’s eyes widen, her lips twitching as her fingers slide between our mouths, pressing against mine as she gently pushes me back a little. “Is that so?” she asks, a brow raised in question.
“Fuck, yeah,” I whisper. “Am I convincing you I mean it yet?”
“Hmmm,” she says, smirking up at me, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “You might be.”
“Might be?” I repeat with a chuckle.
“You’re certainly trying very hard,” she adds, her fingers pulling on my bottom lip a little, her gaze now dropping to my mouth.
My heart pounds in my chest, at her closeness, at the look that’s on her face, at the things it’s doing to my body. “That’s not the only thing that’s hard.”
A gasp falls from her lips as I now suck her fingers into my mouth, my tongue curling around them. God, how I’d love to run my tongue down her neck, down her whole body until I was licking between her thighs.
Ever since she showed up here at Somerville’s, I’ve dreamed about going down on her, something I never did back when we were just hooking up. I’m not sure why, it just never naturally happened between us, but considering the one thing she still doesn’t yet know about me, this is something I know I’m good at.
And it’s definitely something I’m dying to prove to her.
“Dylan,” she murmurs, her cheeks flushing as she watches me suck on her fingers.
Grinning, I gently bite the ends of them before pulling back, knowing this is totally inappropriate considering this is our workplace.
“I really fucking like you, Tessa,” I say, my voice low. “You’re sexy as fuck and I will prove to you that I want more here.” Tessa swallows hard, her eyes never leaving mine as I tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “Now, seeing as I can’t have you for lunch, should we check out the menu?”
