“I told her that probably wouldn’t be happening. I let her know you were very content in your new relationship and weren’t interested in the club’s services.”

“Did she back off?”

“She thanked me and left.”

“Thanks for letting me know.” Julian didn’t anticipate a problem. They had parted amicably and held no ill-will toward one another. “I’m sure she’s already moved on.”

“You are a hard one to move on from.” His cousin rolled his eyes. “I don’t know what they see in you.”

“Shut up.”

“So, what really brings you here, because I know you trust me far too much to pop in and check up on me.”

“You’re right.”

“What’s up?” Blake asked.

“I’ve been in contact with Martin Abrams.”

“The Dominant who owns Master M’s?”

“Yeah.”The same Dominant who is about to show me some new tricks.

“He’s floated some customers our way recently. Both men and women who weren’t entirely ready for his club, but still wanted to dabble.”

“He told me.”

“Does he need something?”

“I’ve asked him for something.” Well, a few somethings, but Julian wouldn’t be telling Blake that Martin was training him and Kayla. “Remember how annoyed I was when Connie pulled that stunt before the holidays?”

“You had every right to be pissed off. What she tried to do to Kayla was sick.”

Connie had wanted Julian to dominate her in the bedroom, so she offered herself to him at a time when she knew Kayla would walk in on them. She had not only humiliated herself and infuriated Julian, but betrayed Kayla in the process.

“It got me thinking about how these women, and sometimes men, come in here searching for something they don’t fully grasp. We had Kayla and Connie trying to be matched in a submissive situation, and neither of them really knew what it meant. Luckily for Kayla, I intercepted her and it worked in our favor. Connie tried to set me and Kayla up, but there was a part of her willing to allow me any liberty I wanted because she was attracted to my dominant side.”

“They all are.”

“That’s my point.”

“I’m doing a better job of screening, and I’ve hired Rhonda. She’s an experienced Domme. I think she’ll help when it comes to proper matching in those cases,” Blake said.

“I agree, she is an asset.” Rhonda had come highly recommended by a BDSM specialist in the community, and Martin gave her a glowing reference. “When I explained to Martin how Kayla and I got together, and then I told him about the incident with Connie, he agreed that we might want more in the way of educating people before they walk in and say they want to be dominated, or want to dominate for that matter. Our business is growing, and we need to do more to protect not only ourselves, but the people we match up.”

“That’s an excellent idea.”

“Martin has agreed to come and give some seminars on the safe part of his lifestyle. How to find what they’re looking for without the dangers and traps that are out there. We should offer it to anyone seeking a BDSM partner. We can’t force people to take it, but we can offer it. He’s agreed to have Doms and subs educate our clients. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity.”

“Have him contact me and we’ll go about setting it up.”

“Thanks.” Julian stood from the stool. “I knew you’d be agreeable. When I think about the things Kayla put on that initial application it makes me sick. She could have ended up in a bad place.”

“Most of our clients check out. You know how critical I am with the screening process.”

“I do, but what if I would have made her leave that first night? God knows who she would have ended up with and where she would have sought out her partner. There are so many women out there seeking some romantic lifestyle and they end up getting hurt or worse.” Julian shook his head. “We can’t save them all, but we owe it to the ones who come in here seeking our help.”

“Totally,” Blake agreed. “It’s a solid idea and one we should have thought of sooner.”
