“What do you mean ‘how’? We wanted it to happen so we’re making it happen. Why not now, right? Plus, you should know about fast moving relationships, sister dear,” Maggie said, clearly meaning it as a dig.

“Hmmm. Well, we’re having a very big, fancy wedding. And we’re having an engagement party in the park in a week. You’re invited of course, being family and all,” the sister said.

She clearly wanted to rub the extravagance in our faces.

“We’ll be a bit busy plannin’ our own luxury weddin’, but we’ll see if we canna fit it in,” I immediately shot back.

The girl’s mouth hung open; they weren’t exactly buying our act just yet.

“When is the wedding?” the bastard asked, actually looking a bit sad.

“It’s booked for t’ree months from now,” I ad-libbed quickly.

“Oh yeah? Where?” the girl ex asked, getting haughty.

“We were t’inkin’ Big Sur. Doves, cake, champagne, chocolate fountain, live band, the whole nine.”

“She doesn’t like any of that,” he said, as though in victory. “Maggie’s a simple girl.”

“Boring, actually,” the sister butted in, being just as bitchy as she could be. “Coulda fooled me. She planned most o’ it,” I said, with a sly wink to Maggie.

“She doesn’t even go to church!”

“Does now. I’m a good Scotty Prod. Da insisted. Wouldn’t be lettin’ me be marryin’ any dirty heathens or, heaven forbid, taigs, so she goes with me.”

“Hot and Irish, yeah right,” I heard the scummy sister mutter.

I could nearly see the bastard ex turn green and his little bint didn’t look much better off. I was quite happy my plan was working out so well. I was always quick with a believable lie in a pinch and was blessed with the gift of the gab. Those were two of many reasons I had decided to go into acting.

“My morals have improved a lot since we broke up,” the raven-haired beauty beside me said. “Knowing what a cheater you are helped with that and I wanted to do anything not to end up like you two slags. My good, Presbyterian boy has helped with that.”

She put her arm around me and squeezed me tight as way of punctuation. One of her glorious tits was pressing softly against me and I thought I’d died and gone to heaven.

“We’re like conservative Catholics without the sense of humour,” I said, speaking the truth.

“We don’t even drink,” my fake fiancée said.

“Not a drop,” I agreed.

“Except coffee, of course.”

“Oh, yes, of course.”

As though we had practiced it, we kissed tenderly, just to drive the point home. Though I couldn’t deny how good she felt. Electricity shot through my body and must have hit my cock because it made it half hard. I wanted to fuck her so bad.

Finally, the two gobshites got called back for their counseling session, with the stepsister saying, “Well, don’t forget to stop by our engagement party,” to us, while hissing at the douchebag, “We have got to find more money to spend, now that we’re competing with that!”

It was a close call and I was glad we hadn’t been sent to our separate appointments first. Not only because it would prove we were lying, but also because I really liked being with her. I hoped I got called back last so that I could keep talking to Maggie as long as possible. That is, if either of us got called back at all – it was taking forever for both of us to have our appointments, as if every business in this office complex was running behind.

That was more than fine with me, though. I really wanted to get to know my fake fiancé a bit more.

The two scumbags finished storming off to their session in a huff and I felt a bit bad for the counselor they were going to see. I could just imagine their session, with the stepsister being uppity and demanding about every little thing and her boyfriend trying to give in but resenting her for the over-priced wedding flowers and the future names of their children or whatever it was that a couple was supposed to talk about during pre-marital counseling.

That guy had not looked happy to be with her. I couldn’t believe he would cheat on this fine specimen sitting beside me with that monster. He was obviously regretting it. As he rightfully should!

“Those two seem really happy together, or at least to be a good match for each other! Good thing they’re getting married. Saves the rest o’ us the risk.” I said, as soon as they had disappeared.

This made Maggie laugh. It was really a beautiful sound. And it was only made better by the fact that I was the cause of it. She really could light up a room, with the way her face lit up and her eyes widened while she genuinely let loose.
