“Size doesn’t matter,” Mikayla said, lowering her chin to her chest to deepen her voice. “It’s what you do with it.”

“That’s a myth,” Leah continued. “And since mine’s bigger, it’s only fair that we use it.”

Mikayla chuckled, delighted at Leah’s naughtiness. “But, William, Juniper needs yours and mine is mostly unused since I moved back in with my parents.”

Mikayla thought she could almost see Juniper’s eyes roll as she stood between the two men as they both insisted on paying the bill. Then Mikayla and Leah laughed outright when they saw Juniper grab both William and Callum’s cards and just hand them to the cashier, with obvious instructions to split the bill. “You tell ‘em, Juniper,” Mikayla exclaimed.

Once they’d got the groceries, they were off again. Mikayla felt a thrill of anticipation as Callum turned down the long, cleared drive to the chalet, then gasped with delight as the driveway opened wide to reveal a split-level home, all warm timber and glass. The eaves dripped with snow and the windows glinted in the winter sunlight. “Callum John Sinclair, you have outdone yourself.”

Callum leaned forward, his arms draped across the steering wheel, looking through the windscreen at the house. “Yeah, it’s not bad, is it?”

“Pssht! Not bad! You’ve been living the high life for way too long.” She shoved at Rafe. “Come on, out you go. I wanna see our room.”

They all piled out of the van and Mikayla, too impatient to wait for all the bags and suitcases to be removed, raced straight for the front door. She kept bouncing on her toes as she waited for Callum to let her in. “Where’s our room?” She asked as she stepped through, taking in the sunken lounge with the fire already lit by the caretaker, the impeccably appointed kitchen and the view through the floor to ceiling lounge windows.

“Up those stairs on the right, to the very top. Furthest away from everyone because I don’t wanna hear you banging.”

She punched his arm, stuck her head back out the front door to yell, “Juniper, you should check out the KITCHEN!” then took the stairs two at a time to the top floor. A four poster, queen sized bed faced the floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a view of the snow-drenched valley. She stepped onto an impossibly soft, cream-colored carpet, sighing at the sheer luxury of it all.

She was just checking out the sumptuously appointed ensuite when she heard Rafe come through the door. “There’s a spa in here!”

“Yeah?”

She stepped out of the bathroom and ran the few steps to him, boosting up and wrapping her legs around his waist, grinning when he hastily dropped their suitcases and caught her. He backed towards the bed when he had a good grasp of her. “And you know what that means?”

He fell on the bed so that she was lying on top and reached up to push her hair back from her face, his dark eyes gleaming. “No, what does it mean?”

“It means you get to bring me wine and chocolate while I’m neck deep in bubbles.”

He rolled suddenly, pressing her into the mattress with his weight, sliding a kiss down her neck that had her shivering with delight. “Mm, yeah, I can do that.” He slid a hand under the waistband of her sweater. “But it’ll cost ya.”

“Yeah?” she asked, her blood heating. “What’s the price?”

He kissed her, sliding the flat of his hand up her stomach, cupping her breast and smiled against her lips when she gasped. “Sexual favors are the only currency I trade in, so…”

“Oh, I see. And do you require payment in advance?”

“Mm hmm,” he replied, pushing her sweater up to her neck, bending his dark head to her breasts.

“Mikky! Rafe! Where are you?” The sound of little footsteps on the stairs grew louder as Billy’s voice drifted closer. “Come and see my bed! It’s a truck!”

“No way!” Rafe called out as he pushed to his feet, pulling Mikayla with him. She hastily straightened her sweater just as Billy appeared in the doorway.

They followed Billy down to the next level, making appropriately admiring comments about his bed, tucked into a little alcove off his parents’ bedroom, then continued on to the ground floor. Juniper was already in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. Leah was perched on the bench, wine glass in hand.

“Baby, Daddy’s waiting outside for you to go and build a snowman.”

“Come on Rafe, let’s go build a snowman.” Billy, still in his ski suit, grabbed Rafe’s hand.

“Ah, okay. Sure.”

“Seriously? He didn’t waste any time.”

“Literally dumped the bags, helped me unload the groceries while Billy was showing you his bed, and headed straight outside. Callum too.”

Mikayla smiled fondly as Billy dragged Rafe outside. She stood at the kitchen window as Juniper stirred something that smelled delicious. Then her eyes narrowed. “Leah, come and help me,” she said urgently.

“Huh? What’s up?” Leah looked up at the sound of her name.
