“Yeah, I’m good to go. You?” Callum asked Leah. He turned back the way they had come when she nodded.

“Any ideas for your dress, Mik?”

“Basically, anything you tell me to get.”

“Excellent,” Leah replied with a big smile. She was so excited to be able to help Mikayla buy a wedding dress. She was focusing on that, rather than letting herself think about her meeting with Scott.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

“Can I trust you?”

“I think you can, yes.”

“Don’t think, Leah. You need to be one hundred percent sure.”

Leah looked at Callum in the dressing table mirror. He was lying stretched out on the bed, a crisp white towel wrapped around his hips. He had his arm under his head, watching her get ready. “No pressure. I’ve got this.”

“Good. Come and kiss me goodbye, then.”

“I’m not falling for that. If I come over there and kiss you, I’ll grope you, then I’ll never get out of here. I’m already late.”

“Chicken.”

“Fine.” She ran the brush through her dark hair one more time, then pushed to her feet, pulling her handbag over her shoulder so it crossed over her body. Holding her hands behind her back, she walked over to the bed, eyes laughing as she bent over Callum to press a demure kiss to his lips.

“As if,” he said, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her down on the bed, covering her body with his as he pressed scorching hot kisses up her neck.

Leah pushed at his shoulders, giggling as she felt his hand slide up her thigh. “You play dirty.”

“You bet.” He kissed her and Leah melted, pushing her fingers into his damp hair and hooking her leg over his.

“Mm, you smell so good,” she murmured against his lips. She could stay here all day, but that would hardly be fair to Mikayla. “But you need to get off me.” She pushed his shoulders again, smiling when he heaved a sigh as he let her go. “I’ll let you know if there’s any problems.”

“Do that,” he said, getting off the bed and pulling Leah with him. She took the opportunity to grab a handful of his towel and tugged hard. Laughing, she moved away hastily. He was hard for her and if she let him kiss her one more time, they’d both end up in bed.

“I’m going.” She threw the towel at him.

“Vixen.”

She blew a kiss over her shoulder as she walked out the door. Mikayla, Juniper and Nora were waiting for her at the bank of elevators. “Sorry!” She said, rushing up to them.

“All good.” Mikayla pressed the button for the elevator, holding it open for them when it arrived. “You know what I hate?” She asked, leaning against the wall.

“What?” Leah asked, quickly checking her lipstick in the mirror that lined the back of the elevator.

“Having to travel through the seven circles of hell just to get a Myki card.”

Juniper laughed. “We’re going to a newsagent. It’s hardly the seven circles of hell.”

“Yeah, well, why can’t they just sell tickets for public transportonpublic transport. Like they did in the good old days.” Mikayla continued grumbling as they stepped out of the elevator and crossed the lobby.

Leah was just behind her as she stepped through the revolving doors into a drizzly Melbourne day.

“Ms Sinclair?”

Mikayla turned, a questioning look in her eyes. “Yeah?” A tall, thin man in an austere black suit and hat was standing next to a gleaming black limousine. He pulled open the back door and stood aside, indicating with a wave of his hand that she should get in. “For me?” Mikayla frowned in confusion.

“You are Mikayla Sinclair?”
