“What, that’s it?”

“Well, maybe the occasional grope if you’re not against the notion.”

Feeling like a weight had been lifted from her, Georgie smiled as she put her arms around his waist. “I’m not against the notion.” In fact, she quite liked the idea. “As long as you understand that it’s all I can give you.”

He nodded.

“And you can kiss me whenever you like.”

“Sure, I don’t think that’s a good idea. You’ll never get anywhere as I’m wanting to kiss you every second of the day.”

Georgie laughed. “You can kiss me this second, at least.”

“That I can.” Ryan kissed her again, then handed her the crutches, walking slowly next to her as they made their way to his car.

Georgie smiled to herself after Ryan had left her. He’d helped her to her cabin, kissed her senseless once again and told her he’d see her later. She was still smiling when Mikayla stepped through the door.

“Hey, I thought we’d head to Coco’s for lunch, if you like?”

“Sounds good.”

Mikayla sent a quick text to Leah and Juniper then helped Georgie out of the swimsuit and waited while she showered before helping her into a pair of jeans and a nice top. They were new clothes she’d ordered online. She dried her hair and pulled it back in a high, messy ponytail. She completed the outfit with gold hoop earrings. Also new. It was nice to care a little about what she wore.

Mikayla sighed. “Man, you piss me off.”

There was not an ounce of rancor in her tone, so Georgie laughed as she picked up her crutches. “Why is that?”

“It’s the same with Leah and Juniper. You look perfectly put together with barely any effort.”

Georgie followed Mikayla through the door. “Huh? You always look good.” Mikayla turned to wait for Georgie to navigate the ramp, then she shrugged. “You do! You’ve got amazing hair and gorgeous eyes. And you’re tall.”

“Yeah, like an Ent.”

“Stop that! Be glad you’re tall. How would you look next to Rafe if you were short, like me?”

Mikayla eyed her for a moment as they walked then she grinned. “Yeah, pretty stupid.”

“Exactly.”

“Well, now that we’ve established that we’re both hotties, tell me, how’s my favorite hottie?”

Georgie felt warm all over as they walked up the track. “Not yet.”

“Huh?” Mikayla opened the passenger side door, closing it behind Georgie once she was in.

Waiting until Mikayla was turning the key in the ignition, she said, “I’ve got a bit of news, but I only want to tell it once. So you can wait.”

“Meanie.” Mikayla barely restrained herself as she drove down the hill and into town, finding a carpark right out the front of the café. “Oh, good, Juniper and Leah are already here.” She hustled Georgie out of the car and into a seat at the table with barely disguised impatience. “Georgie’s got some news about Doctor O’Hotstuff,” she said as she sat down.

“Oooh, does she?” Leah put the menu down and looked at Georgie intently.

“I hope she kissed the pants off him,” Juniper said as she poured water for Mikayla and Georgie.

Georgie couldn’t help but laugh. “I did.”

“You took his pants off?” Juniper asked, her eyes wide in astonishment.
