“How does it feel?”

“Bloody amazing.” Her smile had his breath catching in his throat.

She stripped down to her swimsuit at the edge of the water, waiting for Ryan to do the same. Then she took his hand and pulled him into the ocean. He held her against him while he drifted away from the shoreline, finding his feet against the buffeting waves when they were far enough out that Georgie couldn’t touch the ground. She slipped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. Ryan grinned just before she planted a kiss on him. She opened her lips and twined her tongue with his, gasping when he trailed his hands down her back to her bottom. God, he just could not get enough of her.

Georgie broke the kiss. “Do you think you could do something for me?”

“What’s that?”

“Throw me.”

“What?”

“Throw me.” She dropped her legs but kept her arms around his neck. “Really high in the air. As high as you can.”

“Now?”

“Yep.” She moved her hands to his shoulders. “Make a step with your hands for me.”

He linked his hands together and held them low under the water. She put first one foot, then the other, in his hands. “Now throw me, high and away from you, so I don’t accidentally kick you in the face.”

“What are you about, Georgie May?”

“Throw me and you’ll see.”

“You sure do trust me.”

“I sure do.” He did as she asked, throwing her with all of his strength. He felt the force in her legs as she went with the momentum, springing against his hands as he heaved her up. She went flying into the air and turned herself into a ball, tucking her legs close to her chest and wrapping her arms around her knees, pointing her toes straight down. She spun as she came back down, landing in the water with a giant splash. Ryan fished her out, grinning at her as she emerged, pushing her hair back from her face and laughing.

“That was amazing. I’d choose you over Marcie Higgins any day.”

Laughing some more, Georgie said, “Thank you!” She held herself steady by placing her hands on his shoulders. “Is there anything I can’t do?”

“I don’t know. You tell me.”

“No, I mean any gymnastic moves I shouldn’t do?”

“You’ve got full range of motion. There’s nothing you can’t do.”

“Excellent. Throw me again. Higher if you can.”

“I throw you any higher and you’ll touch the sky,” he said, linking his fingers together again. This time, Georgie twisted in mid-air, spinning three hundred and sixty degrees, hitting the water feet first. Ryan fished her out again.

“Not enough height to turn into a dive.”

“Well, excuse me.”

She laughed. “You’d have to be ten foot tall for me to manage that.” She eyed him for a moment, her eyes roving over his shoulders.

“What devilry are you planning?”

“Hmm? Oh, nothing.”

“Mo chroi, you’re looking at me like I’m a pommel horse.”

Her eyes danced. “I am not!”

“You are! You desperately want to climb up on my shoulders and flip off.”
