“Maybe.”
“But you’re afraid.”
“I am.”
“Of what?”
“I used to really like sex, but it’s been a long time and I’m different now. I’m worried I won’t be good at it, for starters.”
Ryan surprised her by giving a shout of laughter. “Georgie May, a woman doesn’t kiss like you do and not know what she’s about between the sheets.”
Georgie laughed and blushed. “That makes sense.”
“What else, then?”
“That you’ll be turned off.”
“I won’t.”
“You—”
“I won’t.”
“Okay.”
“What else?”
“That I’ll be so self-conscious I won’t be able to enjoy it.”
“Then we’ll stop, of course.”
“That’s not fair.”
Ryan rolled his eyes. “I’m a grown man, Georgie. I can handle a bit of frustration. Is that all?”
“Yes, that’s all.”
He lifted her hand and pressed a kiss to her palm. “Where are you at?”
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to imagine going to bed with someone.”
“But you are imagining it.”
“I am.” She cleared her throat. “Quite a lot.”
Ryan grinned. “Well, that’s grand, that is.” He let go of her hand and picked up his knife and fork.

Back at the Lighthouse, Georgie got out of the car, shivering in the cold winter air. “Will you come in for a cuppa?”
“Aye.” Ryan took her hand in his and they walked down the dimly lit track, their breath frosting in the air. Her cabin was lit by the single lamp on the bedside table, it’s low light giving the room a rosy glow. Georgie slipped out of her coat as soon as she stepped inside, throwing it over a dining chair. Then she took her shoes off, smiling at Ryan as she went to switch the kettle on. She’d just put the mugs on the counter when he came up behind her, sliding his arms around her and kissing her neck.
She turned, pressing herself against him, brushing her lips lightly across his. A soft caress that promised more. Ryan skimmed his hands up her arms, cupping her face and smiling down at her. She smiled back, watching as he slowly lowered his head. Her heart beat hard against her rib cage when their lips met. Somehow, the acknowledgement that she was considering going to bed with him added extra heat to his touch. Georgie sighed, opening her lips, delighting in the feel of his tongue sliding over hers. She moved her hands, gliding over his chest and up into his hair as she deepened the kiss. He pushed her back against the bench, skimming his hands down her sides, lightly touching her breasts as he moved down to her hips. The steadily rising heat was sending Georgie crazy. She felt like she couldn’t get close enough to him. Then he turned her around, pulling her back against him.
“Mmm.” She tilted her head to the side to give him better access to her neck, let her eyes drift closed when he held her still as he ground against her. She felt his erection pressing against her bottom and it inflamed her. He slipped his hands under the hem of her sweater and Georgie opened her eyes, watching in the reflection of the kitchen window as his hands moved higher. She gasped when he cupped her breasts, kneading through her bra. She bit back a moan when she felt her nipples tighten under his touch. God, he was driving her crazy. She watched him watching her in the darkened glass as he moved one hand down, over her stomach, between her legs. She pushed herself against his hand, her heart hammering. “Gorgeous mo chroi,” he said huskily. His fingers moved to the zip on her pants, a wicked smile in his eyes as he slowly lowered the zipper. It felt so erotic – the fact that they could only see their reflections from the waist up. Then he pushed his hand inside her pants, under the waistband of her underwear, straight to her center. Georgie whimpered as he ran a finger over her clitoris, holding the edge of the bench in a white knuckled grip. “I can feel how much you want me.” He pushed one finger inside her and Georgie nearly collapsed right there. He moved his hand against her, the heat building from his touch almost unbearable.
