“I have every faith in your abilities to find out who’s behind the embezzlement.” I took a sip of my own wine, not at all worried about the money. “I just want this matter settled as soon as possible. Nothing can upset the merger with Aston’s company next month.”

As I stared out the windows of the restaurant snow began to fall. Manhattan was slowly being cover in white. It was beautiful, but it only reminded me of the way my cum looked on Reese’s bare breasts. I loved marking her as mine like that. It was something I planned to do again.

“It’s not really my abilities. It’s my team’s abilities,” Ray admitted being modest. When I didn’t answer, he took another sip of wine and leaned back in his chair. “What’s got you so distracted. You’re here in body but not in mind. Care to share?” He grinned. “I’m guessing it’s a woman.”

I huffed out a laugh and turned to him. “That obvious?”

“Perhaps a trip to the Dark Club will take your mind off her? Nothing like a blow job from a willing sub to clear the cobwebs,” Ray suggested.

He had many of the same sexual appetites as I did and had introduced me to a BDSM club that catered to that sort of tastes in a discreet fashion. I had depended on the Dark Club for years after Sadie died. Now it didn’t seem like enough. I was done with one-night stands. All I wanted was Reese.

I shook my head. “Thanks, but tonight, it would feel too much like cheating.”

He raised a disbelieving eyebrow. “Must be serious.”

“Too early to tell,” I explained, absentmindedly tapping my fingers on the table again, “but I haven’t felt this way about anyone since Sadie.”

Ray blew out a long breath and then smiled. “I’m glad. How did you meet?”

“I spotted her when we were negotiating the Hillocks buyout. When I saw her hunched over her desk, it was like Cupid had me in his crosshairs. She didn’t even notice me. Perhaps that’s why I’m so interested in her.” I grinned.

Ray guffawed. “She might be the first woman not to fall at the feet of the legendary Kane McKenzie. What took you so long to make a move?”

“Honestly, man, I wrestled with it every day. Choosing a pet from one’s own employee pool can be dangerous, but she’s too good to pass up. So, when I saw my chance and I took it. That fucker Simon almost stuck his claws into her.”

He nodded in realization. “Ah, Reese.” Setting his wine glass down on the table, he leaned towards me. “You know, Kane. A few vicious rumors are being spread about her throughout the office. There’s a new story every day on Watercooler, the inter office chat room.”

I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest. I should have never let that chat room be created. It was suppose to help the employees feel comradery, but now, mostly it was a place for rumors and gossip. “I bet, and I know where they’re coming from. Don’t believe them.”

“I don’t. I know better than to listen to office gossip.” Ray waved a hand in a dismissive manner. “I’m just saying, be careful. Some of your employees might see you as favoring her. Dating an employee is a tricky situation.”

I shrugged. Thoughts of Reese’s sexy curves and ample bosom filled my mind. I remembered the way she looked with my long, hard cock filling her mouth. She had sucked so eagerly, so willingly. “There’s something about her I can’t resist,” I admitted to Ray. “She’s quirky and funny and hard-working and smart.”

“Do I have to ask if she’s open-minded.” He raised an eyebrow to emphasize his question.

“What do you think?” I laughed. “I don’t think she knows how open-minded she is yet.”

Ray smiled at me in a knowing manner. He picked up his wine glass, drained it and then waved to the waitress to bring him another glass. “If this woman is everything you say she is, then why are you spending Saturday night with me instead of her?”

I groaned a bit and ran my fingers through my hair. “Because I set her a task. She’s been questioning my authority and she’s being punished. She has two days left. If she were with me, both of us would fail. I want her to learn to obey my every order.”

Ray raised an eyebrow. “Care to share what task?”

“Self-control.”

He nodded, looking at me like I might elaborate, but I didn’t. Ray didn’t need to know every little detail about Reese, but he knew me well enough to know I liked to set challenges for people to see how they fared under pressure.

So far Reese had passed with flying colors. Me, not so much. I was on the verge of desperation. Fourteen days was too much for both of us. Maybe the task should end tonight.
