They lay naked in bed, the warmth of their bodies pressed together. She’d never had anyone touch her with so much care and desire. The way he ran his tongue over her body was nothing she had ever experienced before.

“Christian,” she moaned softly when his lips found her neck, setting her body on fire. She lay on her back and pulled him onto her. He looked into her eyes again, as if for one last confirmation, and she pressed her hands against his hip to pull him inside of her. She held her breath when she felt his hardness between her legs, sparking waves of sensation, which rolled through her body, making her shudder.

Soft groans and grunts escaped their lips as their bodies moved in unison, slowly grinding back and forth. Their pace intensified as her hands caressed his muscular back, feeling the heat and the sweat. And then she felt her body stiffen as something exploded deep inside her. Like fireworks, she thought as she closed her eyes. How did I get so lucky?

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The best things in life happen when you least expect them.Christian’s father had often spoken these words, and they rolled around in Christian’s head as he slowly woke up. Olivia was snuggled up next to him. He felt the warmth of her body and smiled when he saw her head resting on his chest, her hand next to her face. She had a small smile on her lips. He wondered what she was dreaming about.

He leaned over and kissed her on her head. She blinked slowly and opened her eyes.

“Lucky bastard,” he said.

“What?” she asked, tilting her head to look at him, her eyes now fully open and fixed on him.

“Me.” He kissed her on her lips, more demanding this time. Then he playfully nibbled on her lower lip. Her giggles filled the room.

“Don’t eat me, please.”

“But I want to.”

He smirked, and she hit his shoulder.

He stared at her as she rested her head on him, her soft curls tickling his bare chest. The warmth of her breath touched his skin, and her beautiful brown eyes looked deep into his.

“If you keep staring at me that way, I won’t be able to let you leave this bed,” he said and gently stroked her chin. Her skin is so soft,he thought as he squeezed her against himself. Everything felt perfect. He felt like he could hold her like this forever. Is this what they call love?

“I could never have dreamt of meeting someone like you,” he said, and she lifted her gaze, still with her beautiful smile.

“After all we’ve been through . . . hope you mean that in a good way?” she added, and he chuckled.

“Definitely. It feels like we’ve known each other forever, even though we’ve just met. Is that weird?” he asked.

“I have never felt like this before, but I don’t think it’s weird at all. Not even close. That bear attack was crazy. We are not.”

“That bear was crazy,” he said and they both laughed. “I would have made for a disappointing dinner.”

“I doubt that.” Olivia raised her head and looked at him. “You’re pretty sweet.”

“Not as sweet as you are.” He pulled her in for another kiss. “But just so you know, I’ll have to charge extra for last night. That part of the tour was an add-on.”

“So you do this add-on a lot then?”

He knew she was joking, but she also had a look in her eyes, like there was a part of her that was serious. He couldn’t help but laugh.

“I’m taking care of five women. There’s not much time for add-ons like this. And even if there was, it’s not me. I need to connect with a woman to be intimate, and so far, that hasn’t happened that often. Never like this, that’s for sure.”

Her fingers gently stroked his arm and he held her close for a moment longer.

“How about breakfast?” He kissed her forehead, then pushed his feet off the bed. The rug felt cold after the warmth of the blankets.

She nodded and made to get up. “Sounds good.”

“You going somewhere?” Christian asked and watched as she shifted to the other side of the bed.

“Breakfast?” she said.
