“I am now.” I gave him a small smile. “Someone fed me chocolate.”
“I did.” He kissed my forehead. “Your blood sugar would have been low,” he explained while Sunny and Greyson continued talking.
“Oh. Really? How come?” I shivered when Sunny’s hand inched beneath my shirt and cupped my breast. Always touching me and never taking it further until I gave the go ahead. “I didn’t know that was a thing.”
“We fucked you good and hard. It’s like going for a run without having any water after,” Shade explained.
“That makes sense.” I realized that I hadn’t eaten much that day either, so I was thankful for the chocolate.
Shade smirked, his gaze dropping to my chest. He lifted my shirt, watching Sunny’s thumb push its way inside the cup of my bra. “I like seeing his hands on you.”
My breath caught.
His gaze snapped to mine. “Thank you, Meadow.”
“For what?” It wasn’t like I had done anything. Really, it had been all them. They brought me back to their place and made me feel better. Tanner bothered me in ways I had never known before. My ex was a sadistic bastard, but Tanner was outright evil. And he didn’t care. There was no moral bone in his body. Even though he brought down a dog fighting ring, I had a feeling that it was a ruse. Sure, he liked animals more than he liked humans but if what the guys said was true, there was an ulterior motive to Tanner’s ways.
Shade only gave me a soft smile instead of answering.
“Alright, boss. I’ll let you know what we find out,” Sunny told Greyson. They said their goodbyes and Sunny disconnected the phone.
“What time is it?” I asked, wishing I didn’t have to confront my mom about this. I just wanted Sunny and Shade to take me away, so we could get to know each other better. Maybe in time we could. And we still needed to go on that date.
“Almost nine,” Sunny answered, slipping his fingers beneath the cup of my bra. “We should go before it gets too late.” But even though he said the words, he never released me.
“We should.” But I unhooked my bra instead.
“Take this off so I can touch you whenever I want,” Sunny grumbled, kissing the side of my neck.
“Already ahead of you, Sir.” I placed a soft peck on his cheek. Pulling my arm back inside my shirt, I slipped the bra off of me through one of the arm holes and readjusted the shirt.
“It’s like magic,” Shade said, staring at me in awe.
I gave him a small smile and handed him the bra. “As much as I want to continue this though, we should really head to my parents’ place.”
Both of them sighed.
“If we must.” Sunny gave my nipple a pinch before releasing me completely.
“We really need to go.” I stood from the couch and began pacing.
“Meadow,” the guys said at the same time.
I spun on them. “We need to go because I want to get this over with so we can spend the night in your bed. I need…” I wrapped my arms around myself.
“Hey.” Sunny came toward me, followed by Shade. “Whatever you need, pet, we’re here.” He cupped my cheek, brushing his thumb along my bottom lip. “You hear me?”
“Yeah.” I sighed. “I do.”
“Good.” His dark eyes roamed down the length of me. “We need to get this shit over with so I can spend the night inside you.”
Usually I would have given him a smart remark but instead, I wrapped my arms around his thick neck and pulled him against me. The hug told him more than my words ever could. I cared for him. I cared for both of them. And I knew why. Hell, I had known it all along. But Sunny had been right. I was young. I had my life ahead of me. But none of that mattered. I wanted my life to be with them. Sunny and Shade. Two men who had loved each other for years but only just started exploring those feelings more.
“Meadow.” Sunny’s deep voice rumbled through me, his mouth finding the side of my neck.
“Tonight scared you,” I told him. “Didn’t it?” I asked, leaning back.
“Yeah.” He searched my face. “It did.”
