He chuckled, taking the bags from me and bringing them into the house. “I know you like baking,” he called out. “So I brought out a bunch of ingredients for you to play with.”

I passed a glance at Shade before I kicked off my flip-flops and headed into the kitchen. “You did…” My eyes widened. The kitchen was the biggest I had ever stepped foot inside. “Oh God, I…”

Shade laughed, coming up behind me. “I think she’s speechless.”

Sunny smirked, leaning against the granite countertop. “It’s all yours to play with, pet.”

“I’ve never been in a kitchen this big.” Everything was black. It was definitely a man’s kitchen, but it was perfect if you asked me. “I think I just came a little.”

The guys laughed.

There was a large island sitting in the center of it. With blood red appliances, a deep gray granite countertop, and black marble flooring, this kitchen was a baker’s wet dream.

I ran my hand along the top of the island, letting out a soft sigh. “Do you cook?” I asked both of them, hoping this kitchen got at least a little bit of use out of it.

“I do,” Sunny said. “But I don’t bake. I have no self-control when it comes to sweets, so I stay far away from them.”

“You wantmeto bake though?” I wasn’t a cook. But I could make a mean cherry pie.

“I do. For you, I’ll eat anything.” He waggled his eyebrows.

I giggled, coming around the other side of the island. “Thank you. My kitchen at home is tiny. I’m the only one who uses it really but it’s still not big enough. So this…” I let out another sigh.

Shade chuckled, sat at the island, and rested his elbows on the countertop. “Feel free to use this kitchen whenever you want.”

“Really?” I stared at both of them. “You would do that for me?”

“Of course.” Sunny grabbed my hand and pulled me into his arms, wrapping them around my shoulders. He kissed the side of my neck.

“I like this,” I murmured, leaning into him. I felt safe with them. It was like it was just meant to be. I never believed in love at first sight, but I realized that I now understood.

Before I could let my brain think more on that subject, I pulled myself from Sunny’s arms and went to the ingredients spread out on the counter behind him.

“I’m not even sure where to start.” I tapped my mouth.

“Well, I’ll make supper and you make dessert. Whatever you want, pet.” Sunny kissed my head and started pulling items from the fridge.

“Are either of you allergic to anything?” I asked, still staring at the spread laid out before me.

“Nope,” they both answered in unison.

Coming up with an idea, I started baking what I knew they would both love. My friends loved it, especially Ashton, and I could never make enough of it.

My chest tightened. Knowing I had brushed Ashton off since he ended things between us, then met Sunny and Shade, I felt a little guilty. This had never happened before and I wasn’t sure how to take it.

“What did you decide to make?” Shade asked a half an hour later as he came up beside me. He handed me a beer before taking a swig of his own.

“Donuts. But they’re super messy, filling, and absolutely delicious.” I shrugged. “I love them. My friends love them. And I think you guys will too.”

“Probably.” Sunny pulled his own beer from the fridge and leaned against the counter beside Shade. “But we’ll have to figure out a way to work off all of those calories.”

Shade chuckled, giving me a wink.

I laughed, sitting on the stool by the island. “Thank you for this.”

“For what?” Sunny tipped his beer toward me. “We haven’t done anything. That’s all you.”

“You’ve done more than you think. I don’t usually do this type of stuff with a guy, let alone two of them.” I picked at the paper label on the beer bottle, my thoughts taking me back tohimand everything he tried to take from me. Maybe he succeeded.
