Aiden looks at Lucy. “Don’t cry, sis. He thinks he won.”
Thinking about what Aiden is saying, he’s right.El Diablothinks he won playing puppet master trying to hurt me but at the same time, he was testing our love for each other.
“I did win. My intention was to get back at him. Now he wouldn’t want anything to do with her.”

“He’s right,” my father says, his hands trembling.

My father looks at Lucy. “I’m sorry for hurting you, young lady. I was the one who forbid Mason to be with you. I pushed him away from you and for that, I’m sorry. I give you my blessing but I have one request.”
Lucy stays silent.
“I want you to give me a grandchild. The rest I leave with your future husband.”
She nods and looks at me.
I love you, I silently mouth to her and she cracks a grin. She looks at Alex and he gives her a wink.

“Cousins,” Alex says, shaking his head. “I can’t believe I’m related to you.”
“It doesn’t mean you can fuck my fiancée, that was a one-time thing, asshole,” I say sarcastically.
“I respect you and Lucy. If you want me to never touch her again, I won’t,primo. I love her but she has always loved you. She doesn’t love me. She loves you and has always loved you.”
I sigh. “That decision is always up to her. I will give her whatever she wants, but anything involving the bedroom is only with me. Only me. If you break my rule, I will have no choice but to end you, Alex.Entiendes?”
“Orale. You have my word but you need you to understand that I will always protect her. So, what are we going to do about the Southside GuNZ?”
“We are prepping the plane to Honduras as we speak. We need to go in and kill the bastard and we’re out. If we kill the leader and the rest scatter, I need you to stay behind with Linda, Lucy, and Khalani. I need you to protect them.”
“Firme. For sure.”

Lucy
The guys are getting ready to leave, and I’m in the master suite, which is Mason’s room. My arm feels better with the pain relievers and bandages Mason’s family doctor placed on my arm. I’m wearing a ruffled white skirt made of lace his housekeeper Julia made me and it’s beautiful. I had to pair it with a thin string panty so it wouldn’t show in the back. I’m trying to find my bra when the door suddenly opens and Mase is standing at the threshold.
I cover my breasts with my hands and gasp. “Mase, you scared me.”
“I wanted to say goodbye. I got you in the perfect time.” He walks in and closes the door. “Bend over the foot of the bed, Luciana.”
I obey, and he rubs his hand over my ass, lifting my skirt.
“Can I have this before I go?”
I clench my thighs together. “Yes.”
