“What?”I stared at him, blinking.“What are you talking about?”
“It’s something we’ve always done, and the one time she didn’t hug me was when I lost a fight.”
“Okay.Well.”
“Hey, Stefano, what’s going on?”a loud voice shouted from across the ring.
My brothers and I looked to the right, and we saw Brad.Next to him was Elise.She gave us a small wave.I could feel Stefano stiffening up next to me.
“What the hell is she doing with that asshole?Didn’t she say she was going on a date with him or something?”I said, remembering the conversation from Sienna’s house.
“I thought she was just pulling my chain.”Stefano frowned.“I can’t believe she would date my competition.”
“Okay,” Sergio said.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”Stefano glared at him.
“I just want to know … Can you not believe that she’s dating your competition, or can you not believe she’s dating anyone at all?”
“Excuse me?”Stefano said, glaring at Sergio.
“I mean, it just seems to me that if your sweet Elise is like my sister…”
Stefano shook his head and marched away.
“Dude, don’t get him upset before the fight.”
“So many members of our family seem to be in complete denial over their love lives,” he said, staring at me.
“Oh yeah?And who might those people be, Sergio?”
“Well, Stefano, Dad, you.”
I narrowed my eyes at him.
“That’s a little bit rich.Isn’t that like the pot calling the kettle black?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Hmm.Someone by the name of Gabriella.”
He looked at me for a couple of seconds.
“I’m going to get myself a beer.I’ll see you at the seats.”
“Fine,” I said.“Get me one as well.”
“Will do.”
I watched as Sergio walked toward the bar to get us beers, and then I turned to look at Stefano.It looked like he was arguing with Elise.I shook my head.It was pretty evident to me that something else besides brotherly and sisterly love existed, but it was not any of my business to get involved.I made my way toward the seat when a hot blonde stopped in front of me.
“Hey there, Sam,” she said in a raspy voice.
“Hey, you look familiar,” I said, looking her up and down.
She was wearing a tube top with no bra.And her nipples were poking through the thin material.
“Yeah.I was wondering if you were going to call me.”
