We went downstairs and there was a young man waiting.

“Good morning,” Michael greeted, “How may I help?”

The man cleared his throat, “My name is Nick Parker and I’m here for the internship position.”

Oh well…. Fuck.

Michael and Alyson looked at me and back to the man.

“Uh, there must be some kind of mistake,” Michael chuckled nervously, “You see there’s already a Nick Parker here who is currently filling in the position.”

“I don’t understand, but you sent me a mail and everything and I applied,” he started saying and searched his bag for something and pulled out a single document,

“Here’s my resume, I bet it matches with the one you saw.”

Michael

It was definitely the resume that applied and I approved for hire. However, this was tricky, was I to walk him away or send Nick away? The latter seemed like the right choice but the team members wouldn’t stand for it. I mean we like Nick but what he did was practically identity theft and if the other Nick pressed charges it would have had an effect on our public image.

Think Michael… Think!

“What seems to be the problem?” Aria asked.

Alpha to the rescue.

Aria

I was looking for Nick and the team members said he was downstairs. I noticed the tension as Michael stared at a document that was handed to him by the man and stepped in.

“You’re Aria Wolfe,” the man said, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

I don’t know how to explain it but there was something about the way that he spoke that made me uncomfortable.

“Good morning, the pleasure is mine,” I replied, “What seems to be the problem?” “I applied for the intern position and was told I had been giving the job,” he said. “However, from what this kind sir is telling me, someone else has taken my name

and position here.”

“What’s your name?”

“Nick. Nick Parker.”

I turned to Nick, who refused to make eye contact with me.

“I apologize,” I said, “However, we can’t let him go.”

“Fine, I’ll go then,” the other Nick said, “If he becomes too weak, I’ll be waiting to

take over,”

He still made me uncomfortable and I swore inwards to never have to deal with him.

“Nick, my office please,” I said. “Yes ma’am,” he agreed;

No sooner had we stepped into the office…

“I’m really sorry,” Nick was apologizing, “I kept trying to come clean but I had no choice, I needed the money and I’m… I’m sorry. I really am.”

I wasn’t actually upset however, I had a feeling he wouldn’t back down from apologizing and feeling guilty.
