“How do you know she isn’t already?” Camden argues.

“Because he wouldn’t have wasted the opportunity to tell Asia. Heknowsyou’re together. If he’d killed your mum then you can bet your arse he would’ve taken great pleasure in telling her, knowing it would get back to you.” Ford clasps Camden’s shoulder, squeezing gently. “She’s not dead,” he states with such conviction that it’s easy to believe him.

Camden scrapes a hand over his face and grits his teeth. “You’re right. Fuck, man, this is doing my head in.”

“Leave this with me, we’ll do some more digging. As difficult as this might be, you all need to keep your heads down and carry on as usual,” Cal insists.

“By keeping our heads down, you mean we don’t get to fuck up Bram and his bunch of goons even though they really deserve it?” Eastern mocks, scowling.

“That’s out of the question. No brawling outside of the ring. Concentrate on your fight coming up. The last thing any of us needs is this place getting shut down because the students are killing each other in the halls.”

“Fine. No brawling,” Eastern agrees, though he looks far from happy about it.

“Come on, all of you need to get some sleep, it’s been a long day. There’s nothing more that can be done now. Tomorrow the tech team will arrive, and Oceanside will be secured. There will be no more kidnapping on my watch or any fucking secret messages being uploaded without me being alerted,” Cal promises.

“Cal, can I ask a favour?” I ask after a beat.

“That depends on what it is?” he replies, looking at me intently.

“I don’t want to sleep alone tonight.” I sigh heavily, fully aware that all my boys are watching me, and although my voice is steady, there’s no denying how vulnerable I feel.

Cal nods, eyeing me carefully. “I get that. Do what you need to do.”

“Thanks,” I hush out, wondering which of my boys will step forward, or how we’re even going to broach the subject of who will stay with me tonight. I know what I don’t want… an argument.

Cal squeezes my shoulder then walks from his office, leaving me to try and figure out how to approach this without hurting anyone’s feelings. My gaze happens to meet Sonny’s first and he gives me a gentle smile.

“Who do you need, Asia?” he asks me softly.

I look between them, trying to decide. In the end I can’t, because how can I choose between four boys I care about? It terrifies me, the depth of my feelings for each of them, because it just gives the King more ammunition and more ways to hurt me, to hurt us.

“All of you,” I say gently.

“Then all of us you shall have.”

By the timeI’m dressed in my comfy pyjamas, washed my face, cleaned my teeth and stepped out of my en-suite bathroom, it’s well past midnight.

“Feeling a little better?” Eastern asks me. He gets up from his spot on the floor, stepping over Sonny.

“Honestly, no,” I admit. “I’m just really tired.”

Tired of being afraid.

Tired of being strong.

Tired of watching my back.

Tired of worrying about the people I love.

Tired of being a whiny bitch.

Tired. Tired. Tired.

So. Fucking. Tired.

Eastern folds me into his arms, holding me close. I breathe him in, pressing my nose against the bare skin of his chest, just allowing myself his comfort. Eventually I pull away, dead on my feet. Exhaustion ripples over me in waves, and it’s all I can do to keep standing.
