“But… but… I don’t understand. Why are you doing this? Why are you following me? What do you WANT FROM ME?!”
His expression now dropped, like a sad puppy who just found out he isn’t getting fed. “Aw, no, darling. I don’t want anything from you.” He leaned down and gave her a hug.
She felt herself submitting to his arms; the warmth of his body sent a certain sense of comfort through her.
Maybe he wasn’t so bad after all. Maybe he was just lonely and needed someone to love.
She loosened her shoulders and pulled closer to him, allowing him to lean down and plant a gentle kiss on her lips. When he finally pulled away again, the maniacal grin was back on his face.
“I want you.”
And her world was once again dark.
